Sandy Koufax
Denny McLain
Jim Palmer
Roger Clemens
Greg Maddux
Roger Clemens
Pedro Martinez
Randy Johnson
Clayton Kershaw
Max Scherzer
And no Jacob deGrom.
That's a pretty good group to be in. List is much, much shorter for those that won 3 or more in a row...Maddux and Randy Johnson and that's it. So, something to look forward to next year.
wasted what are likely deGrom's best years and back to back CY Young winning seasons. I really hope the lightswitch goes on for this franchise but I wouldn't bet on it.
Jacob deGrom should get two trophies each year...one CY trophy for the actual CY award and a second CY trophy for the added disadvantage of winning the award while playing for the Mets.

I've said this in other threads that in addition to Seaver's 311 career wins, he pitched in 75 games for the Mets where he gave up 2 runs or less and got a "No-Decision".JdG has a lot of those also.

deGrom belongs in that company.
Yes he does. The 'no' in my comment above was supposed to be 'now'.

Freddie G at bench
Resign Wheeler, go get Pomeranz or Hudson, take a run at Marte or sign Margot
An let’s go to War
Come on, no one said this. Did they?
He finished 8th in CY Young voting the season before his back to back CY youngs.
Other than his injury shortened 2016, he has been top 10 in CY Young voting every other year since his rookie season when he won ROY.
There's always one...and he's a jackass. Esp if it's the same guy twice
Good to see the man get his due. Sucks he can't get Ws from being basically the best pitcher atm but that's another thing
