NFT: iTunes/USB drive

Essex : 11/17/2019 9:05 am
Figure I give it a shot. I transferred my iTunes library to a flash drive. Went to a new computer to put it in,, copied the files from flash drive to iTunes. All the songs are listed. But with the exclamation point saying the file can not be located. If the flash drive is in computer i don’t get the sign and I could play the song. But if the flash drive isn’t in the computer, I get the file cannot be located sign. Any suggestions to get it permanent in my iTunes without putting in the flash drive. Thanks in advance

P.S. the ultimate goal is to put all songs on my iPhone
been a long time since I've done this

but I think if you copy from the flash drive to the computer file system (the hard drive) and then import into iTunes it will work.
It appears you added the songs

From the flash drive into iTunes. As per the last poster, you have to first copy the files to your computer hard drive, then add the songs from the computer hard drive file (where the files will remain permanently) to iTunes.
