...two out of the three have Giants selecting Jerry Jeudy WR out of Alabama at #3. (The other has OT Andrew Thomas out of Georgia.)
Everyone knows Jerry Jeudy is a fantastic play-maker, and maybe he's the best value at #3, but how can a team draft him when it can neither run block nor pass rush?
IMO, we can't take Jerry Jeudy at #3, but maybe he's an alluring trade bait.
Also note all three Mock Drafts have Oregon's QB Justin Herbert at #12 (to the San Diego Chargers). IMO, he won't drop further than #5 (and could easily go higher).

I'd say its only a very slim chance the Giants take a WR at #3...
Right now you're seeing an overreaction to the Tua news. It could very well be that Tua's surgery is very successful, and that projections are for him to be 100% in 8 months from now. If that's the case, he'll still likely go at #2.

This is a fact.
The group of QBs coming out this year might all go top 5.
Burroughs, Tua, Fromm, and Herbert.
This is really shaping up to be a great year for the Giants to trade out of the top 5 and collect a haul of picks which they need desperately.
All part of a rebuild, unfortunately.
Having said that, I am not a scout but would be disappointed in picking a WR that high unless it was believed he was the next Megatron.
Then trade Jones?
Of stick with Jones and trade down/pick Chase Young?
Young is option 1 but Jeudy isn't super far behind.
Once we have an all pro OL we will force picks at WR. Good thinking.
It is still a long time from now.
How about Eason?
I think all of them (Tue/Hebert/Fromm/Burrow maybe even Hurts) would have gone before Murray and Jones this year and I think both of them are pretty dang good.
would be OBJ all over again instead of a top lineman
But...I don't know if I can stomach taking a receiver before fixing the OL. Having great weapons makes no difference if the line can't hold up in pass-pro.
If the Giants can land a starting caliber LT and RT some other way in the offseason, and a pass rusher like Ngakoue in FA, then I'd be okay with it.
Me neither. He kind of reminds me of Amari Cooper, if I'm taking a WR top 5 I want a dude that can be physically dominant.
But I see nothing of transcendence about him. Not size, not speed, not hands, not quickness. Alabama alone, has WRs rated higher in every characteristic.
