Like he’s just flat out limping right now? I mean I know he’s not exactly 100% but on that one run I swear he just looked so gimpy i couldn’t believe the announcers didn’t mention it. He just looks slow.

I thought the same thing about a slight hitch in his giddyup. Definitely still hurting.
And are going to go into the locker room with a lead. Way to go Phil.
But, but, but Booger said he is half of fame.....
Lmao!! Chiefs had the ball exactly 1 minute for every kid that Rivers has (not exaggeration, that is a fact), defense held Mahomes to 63 passing yards and an INT, Melvin Gordon averaging like 7 yards per carry or something, yet the chargers are still losing because Rivers was so insanely careless with the ball and can’t make convert in the redzone. I’m not saying he sucks but I’m tired of seeing so many analysts automatically still out rivers in the top 10-15 current QB conversation. Personally I think with this current charger team Eli would be putting up the same or better results than Rivers, which is why it always irks me to see people act like Rivers still has “it” while Eli is a washed up scrub. Imagine Rivers behind this current Giants OL for Chrissakes
And just a dick too. Every play he's yelling at/blaming a lineman or someone else, taking his helmet off every time he walks off (isn't that a penalty, why is he the only one that can do it?)
reason that shouldn't be reviewed upstairs. If theres a rule preventing it, then that rule needs to go. You could do a 10 second runoff when something like that happens.
As mentioned above, WTF was the clock stopped on that catch??? Jesus the refs suck worse now more than ever.
I’m surprised so many people on here are so confused by this. In slow motion yeah it’s clear he was touched in middair, but when the play was actually happening it was bang bang. I even thought at first watching that Williams messed up by stepping out of bounds and I was thinking he could have stood up and run it he hadn’t stepped out. I think from the refs vantage point the DB was between him and Williams do he didn’t see it the DBs hands touched Williams in middair or not, and like I said it was bang bang. No question they missed the call, but I’m surprised to see 10 people posting about how they don’t understand AT ALL why the clock stopped. Was a missed call on a bang bang play what else is new especially in the NFL.
the incompletion to Hunter Henry, it looked to me like they had a hook and ladder set up, a lateral from Henry to the back wheeling out of the backfield along the sideline.
Unfortunately the pass was imcomplete.
it’s a cross between ref still should have seen something that obvious and replay exists. Getting bang bang plays wrong is why there is replay and inside 2 minutes everything should be looked at.

I clearly disagree. He was in bounds by a large margin and there was an official right there running with the play. We all yell and scream about egregious missed PI calls but that (clearly missed call) could have easily been a game changer. Terrible call.

Just a bad job.
I forget: If they were to review that play and determine be was in bounds (which they would have) is there a 10 second runoff (or something of the like) or no? Or do they just wind the clock after they determine he was in bounds and the review is over? If the latter then it wouldn’t have mattered. I’m just curious if there is a rule that states in that situation you have to take a certain amount of time off the clock to make up for it?

The play appears to be non-reviewable under Rule 15-2-5 because there is no line to gain or goal line issue involved:
Quote:
ARTICLE 5. PLAYS GOVERNED BY THE BOUNDARY LINES
Item 1. Runner Inbounds. A ruling that a runner was out of bounds is reviewable only to determine: (a) the spot of the ball in relation to the line to gain or the goal line at the spot where the runner was ruled to have touched out of bounds
If the play had been reviewable, happened in last two minutes, and was reversed, then yes, there should be a ten second runoff.
Sad if it wasn’t true. The guy won’t let a game breathe without continued hot air diarrhea of the mouth takes. Minimum 5 broadcast teams on NBC and FOX (excluding their own number 1 teams) better than the espn crew
And don’t get me started on why Steve Young still gets a cushy postgame role either.
before the game to throw out there even if they make no actual sense in the context of the game.
He must get paid by the word. I actually think Louis Riddick would be terrific in the role if espn wanted to stay in house, but they need to make a change. Tessitore isn’t good either - Gus Johnson is really the only one that pulls the shouting off well, it’s really more geared for match madness than a regular season football game too, and it makes no sense to get excited about an 8 yard run.
I Don t know, kind of hard to blame that entirely on the quarterback
They’re never going to put a team in Mexico or London. Stop with this bullshit already.
Rivers with 2 picks in the first half so far. Daniel Jones last three games combined... 9 TDS 1 interception. Yeah. Just like Daniel Jones.

And, even worse, the Chargers end up scoring a TD on a drive that should have been long over
So glad this POS is going to end his career ring less.
They should run it to 1 second and call timeout. Then throw it
First down is worth much more than 10-12 seconds
So glad this POS is going to end his career ring less.
Should of had 4. Chargers may need to start thinking about the future at qb.
Mind numbing mistake
Wtf was that about? Made bo sense
Mind numbing mistake
John Parry just said something
Quote:
in the entire booth said a word about Williams not being out of bounds and the clock stopping.

Only took them two plays later to say something, and 3 replays later. That was a 20 second mistake at a minimum.
Ref got bailed out by Rivers there.
Is Roeth next?

I still can't believe we drafted this jerk :-)

Based on what I saw Thursday, a washed 1 armed Big Ben is still better than Mason Rudolph.
