Haven't seen much discussion about him. He destroyed Minnesota on Saturday.
Let's say we win a few of the last 6 game and we are picking more in the 5-8 range. Chase Young would be gone. Seems the pick would likely come down to one of the top tackles or possibly Epenesa.
I guess the question is, is that too high for him? He seems like the real deal from what I've seen.
Right now the Giants have pick #3 - behind the Bengals (who are taking a QB) and Washington (who literally mess everything up).
The Giants also have a game left with Washington. If they want him that badly - they can make it happen.
The question would be is he a learner and assignment sound and a player who loves the game.
As your ilbs need be quick and fast which usually means a bit too small for the A gaps.
If too small at olb for facing up a left tackle and too slow to pass defend...it's rarely very useful.

I think you've got to assume that even though Washington does fuck things up, there is no doubt they'd take Young with the 2nd pick. You're right if the Giants want Young they must lose the upcoming Washington game.
They are a mess - but that might actually be a prudent move. The QB talent in this year's draft is (in my opinion) pretty impressive.
However, if he is gone (which I've thought a lot about), what do we do next?
To me, it comes down to (Edge) Epenesa, (Safety) Delpit, or perhaps (LB) Simmons. Of the three, I really like Epenesa. He's going to be a star in the NFL
I'm gun shy when it comes to drafting OT's in the early part of the first round, which will be a hot commodity of course. My preference would be to take (OC/OG)Tyler Biadasz with our second pick if he doesn't get grabbed in the 1st round and he's still on the board. Biadesz is the only sure thing who would do more for our line than the other highly touted OTs. Biadesz is plug and play from day one and would be a vast improvement at the center of our line. I haven't felt so sure of an offensive lineman in the draft since I swooned over Zack Martin.
Dream scenario: (1st rd) Chase Young; (2nd rd) Tyler Biadasz; all other rounds we draft OT's, Sfty's and LB's and hope a couple of them pan out
DG has to hit a grand slam in this year's draft.

What I mean is, this is the NFL, and things are never as bad as they seem. I highly doubt the Giants will lose the remainder of their games, and if things stay as they are, I can't even imagine the Redskins, as woeful as they are , passing on Chase Young.
Plus, the idea that the Giants would throw that game for the possibility of drafting Chase Young is just something that doesn't happen.

Young & Biadasz would definitely be a great 1 & 2
Except there isn't a real blue chip T prospect in this draft. A whole ton of red chip guys though, some I like better personally than Thomas. We should be able to get one in the second and I wouldnt be opposed to a trade up.
I think there's going to be a lot of teams that will be making some power moves to get a QB in this year's draft.
I can't wait to see Sy's write up on this crop of QBs. I think there are several guys that would have been drafted ahead of Murray and Jones if they had been available last year.
It's going to be a sellers market at the top of the draft if you don't need a QB.
Young or Epenesa in round 1.
Highest rated center or OT in round 2.
WR (deep class) in round 3.

No chance Snyder allows "his" pick to be shown up in the very next draft.
Espensa ( I doubt it’s a fit but looked like a beast vs Minnesota)
If Simmons grades out top ten also
Haven’t seen anything in delpit that warrants top ten
Unless he is earl thomas, which he doesn’t play like
Would absolutely love to grab an xtra 2nd for a few pick movedown

Snyder hand picked Haskins because he went to HS with his son. He most likely will not move on from Haskins without giving him a real shot. All DC is talking about is Chase Young right now. We need to leap frog them to get him IMO.
I would sign Jack Conklin for RT. Then add C Ted Karras to a 2-3 year deal.
If they land Chase Young in round 1 then I would target OT Prince Tega Wanogho or Mekhi Becton in round 2. If Young is gone I would prefer either Andrew Thomas or a trade down to acquire at least another 2nd round pick.
Epensa made no such impression. Not even by a country mile.

This is generally how I feel. Young and Biadasz would be a homerun start to the draft.
After that all bets are off. If a quality OT is available to challenge Solder, go for it. Same with FS and LB.
