Two federal prison guards, who were on duty at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in mid-August when financier Jeffrey Epstein was found dead, were charged on Tuesday in connection with their alleged failure to properly check on Epstein as ordered.
Why it matters: These are the first charges to emerge from a criminal inquiry into Epstein's death, which has prompted investigations and the removal of the director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

It said sleeping and conducting internet searches of sports sites and motorcycle sales.
My mind immediately went to what the article would say about me when I get caught up in some scandal.
pjcas18 was posting about meatloaf recipes and laughing at twitter memes.
probably not the best look during working hours even though I'm not responsible for security of pedophiles/criminals
Someone should guard the prison guards. but only don't do it with more prison guards.
Suicide?

On the bright side, the prison guards weren't looking at porn and masturbating, or hosing down female inmates or co-workers, or ahem, having anal intercourse with any male inmates... or each other.

Clearly.
I'm shocked.

I think she's in hiding. There was a photo put out by one of her associates that showed her sitting at an In-n-Out in Los Angeles, but it looks like it was faked. Methinks she knows she's in deep shit if she isn't dead.
not surprised by this comment. You, overseer, and jiminfairfax wanted to get my other thread on this railroaded from the start. Not sure why you support pedos.

I just wish there was an investigation that was trying to get to the bottom of this and not accepting the corrupt and blind story that ... wait, shit looks there is. What else is there now to complain about?

Bwahhahahha. I really appreciate when the whackadoos shake out. Good context for future conversation.
Criminal proceedings against characters involved will shine an investigatory light on the matter. If something more sordid occurred, this is a good thing.
You do agree this is a good thing right? There wasn't enough scrutiny by authorities and this needs to be looked into further?
"No. 1, there was gross negligence and a total failure of BOP to do its job with a prisoner on suicide watch that led to Epstein committing suicide," he said. "Or No. 2, something far worse happened, that it was not suicide but rather a homicide carried out by a person or persons who wanted Epstein silenced. Either one of those is completely unacceptable. Both of those are profound indictments of BOP and our federal incarceration system.”

She’s untouchable and protected. That in-n-out photo was strange; cryptically photoshopped, and in it she was reading a book about espionage. After all, her dad was famous “super spy” Robert Maxwel - there’s speculation that she’s also an IC asset , but not necessarily one of ours.

Too coincidental. They will find their bodies burned and the NY ME will go w spontaneous combustion.
Me thinks that the AG is able to do his job. He is significantly more capable than those who held the position since....well he was AG last time.
But, let's wait to see what happens. There are opposing views on his death(I lean to "assisted" suicide, also). I'd love to see how this fully plays out, and I mean fully. Pretty obvious Prince Andrew is toast...

Anyone with 2 working Brain cells knows that. The People that ended his life are above the Attorney Generals pay grade for him to do anything. Most realize that. These guards will be prosecuted for not doing their job. Thats as far as this will go. The good that comes from this is a few more folks will question the Horse Shit they have been fed about most everything. At least for a few weeks.

Not to get too political but....you're referring to the current AG William Barr, correct? As the most competent AG since himself in the 90s?
Alrighty then. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

That is fine. At least Barr got proactive and fired the BOP boss within days, that is why I am hopeful.
You were right - I actually liked Janet Reno.
You know, not everything is political. Sometimes people can actually have preferences not based on red and blue. If you noticed I trashed each flavor.
Here's one candidate....

She's tied to the intelligence community.

Pretty much says it all about our politicians that Epstein operated openly during previous administrations.
"No. 1, there was gross negligence and a total failure of BOP to do its job with a prisoner on suicide watch that led to Epstein committing suicide," he said. Or no 3, he's still alive.
Given Epstein's suspected clients list, it's impossible to say who gave the order.

...Rudy's fingerprints all over it.
How's that? What previous 'secret murders' have Rudy Giuliani been accused of?

ok?
Exactly. You have a criminal with high profile connections and potential accomplices facing a lifetime in jail.
Now said criminal dies in what should have been a supervised environment. A thorough investigation is warranted. Sounds like that's happening. Congress and the FBI are involved.
Three weeks before he died he's found injured with signs of an attempted suicide. He's put in a suicide protocol. He's evaluated by a psychiatrist.
Now my logical side says self, either this man was suicidal or his life was critically threatened. If it's the latter, he doesn't go to the authorities, the mental health worker, or his attorney?
If it's the former, is it really surprising this man killed himself?
