Fantasy Football Waivers Question

pjcas18 : 11/19/2019 3:58 pm
didn't see a thread for today, have a quick waivers question.

Two waiver wire targets for me.

Jacob Hollister TE SEA. I have Engram and Dwelley, but feel like Hollister has become a favorite target for Wilson (who is one of my QB's).

Jonathan Williams RB IND. Colts have a great run blocking OL and Marlon Mack seems like he's going to be out a while (though not seasons ending).

Wilkins was inactive Sunday due to injury and Hines is the change of pace guy, so not clear to me how much Williams will (if at all) dominate carries even though he looked good Sunday.

My RB's have been obliterated by injury. I'm pretty much left with Carlos Hyde and LeSean McCoy (would have been a good tandem 3 years ago) and Jamaal Williams - and McCoy is on a bye. But I'll get bye somehow without adding Williams if I need to.

If you had to pick one of those two to focus most of your FAAB to, which would it be?

Hollister or Williams?

I added Hollister

Read a few local papers that said he and Russ have spent a lot of time together before/after practice working on timing. Wilson loved Dissley, and so far Hollister has stepped in nicely (2 Games - 16 targets, 12 catches, 99 yds and 3 TDs).

Looks like you may need RB depth, I think with the short turnaround, thurs night v Houston (mixed against the run), it may be too much to expect Wilkins with the ankle issue to be ready. That leaves Williams, with Hines as the change of pace?

I like Hollister a lot and a 1 or 2 week fill for Williams.
Both Williams and Hines are available in my league

I really only need them for this week with Cook on a bye.

Which one would be the preferred option?
PPR?

Tough Call, I think Hines will be a TD dependent back with 5-6 receptions, whereas Williams may get the bulk of the early downs and goal line?

based on this past sunday, I'd have to say Williams, but who knows for sure. I think Hines is the 3rd down/change of pace guy. Hines played Sunday and even after Mack was injured Williams got the carries and more receiving yards than Hines.

Wilkins IMO is the wild card. He was inactive due to an injury, but may play this week.
That's a tough one

Last week I wasnt so sold on B Hill and ended up right. Now Wilkins would be next in line save the injury (and seems like he's back next game). And has had a decent showing in limited snaps. Of course Williams had the huge day

Also in a similar situation you have Scarborough...

I'd probably err towards RBs, but if you're not sold on any of them (fwiw im not) u might go Hollister and pick up the other one(s) on FA...add JSamuels to the list if he's available. But not a lot of good options tbf
