10+ year reader, but haven't posted in about 6 years.
One of the threads today mentioned "LockedOn" Giants podcast and I thought to see if there were any other NYG podcasts that people really got into.
Here are the ones I know about and how I think about them...
Big Blue Banter - 100% my favorite. Dan and Nick don't cast as regularly as some others but this is definitely the deepest insight into the coaching, play calling, player performance, and strategy. Loved their FA and pre/post draft casts. I would 100% recommend listening if you haven't. Similar depth to Sy's posts and reviews.
LockedOn Giants - The lowest common denominator. The nice part is that it's daily, but the level of content, and especially Patty and her guests are just not that great to listen to. As mentioned better to read her than listen.
The Giants Insider Podcast - Jerry and Chris are ok, but lack depth. This is a fun one for me as its reminds me of talking to friends after a giants game back in jersey.
Bleeding Blue - Dont like this one at all. Full on fan perspective, nothing new to present other than just some post game day frustrations.
Any others you guys like?
As far as nfl goes “the gm shuffle” is very good
i like the Talkin' Giants for entertainment
BBKL with Diehl, Meadow, or Schmelk (avoid Salz and Dittino)
2for1 drafts for the upcoming 2020 draft
BigBlueBanter is also great for in depth analysis.
Both are great but for different reasons.
I’ve tried to listen to a few others but they just dont grab my attention.
As for LockedOn, Patty seems like a great lady and is well respected among the other beat writers. She even used to post on here occasionally many many years ago. Her podcast is pretty bland though.
