This Dobbins

So much speed for OSU.

I took UM +9 but rout is coming if Shea keeps throwing at Akudah.

them. They've been a bit disappointing.
great game so far
RasputinPrime : 11/30/2019 1:18 pm : link
until the GD fumble by Patterson.

Of all my gripes about Harbaugh since he took over at UM, his failure to develop the QBs he has had is at the top.
Dobbins is solid
RasputinPrime : 11/30/2019 1:22 pm : link
but Fields has been wildly overrated by his performance today.
some convenient flags
RasputinPrime : 11/30/2019 1:26 pm : link
and more horrible defense and defensive schemes by UM.
Michigan can’t get If of their own way

Chase Young is clearly half-assing it

Can't blame him. There are millions of dollars awaiting him in the pros.

It's pretty obvious he mailed it in. Like I said, I can't blame him. He's risking injury being out there. He's going to be a top-3 pick and will get multi-millions in a few months.
Michigan is so inept
Oscar : 11/30/2019 2:08 pm : link
Still tend to think Harbaugh is a great coach but there’s no evidence of it in these games. OSU is just in a different tier.

He is not mailing it in, I don’t even know how you do that, if you are on the field, you’re in danger of getting injured.

I think Michigan is doing a very good job of handling him and throwing different and multiple blockers at him. Simple as that. Think that sometime expectations are so sky high, people expect him to be in on every play.

Patterson will not move into round 1 but will be picked in 3-4 and make a lot of money as a back up QB in the NFL

The problem is: How do you know whether he's half-asking it or just getting outplayed? How does a scout know for sure?

How do you do that? By playing with little effort so as to not get hurt

Look at him. He's not hustling out there. He's going through the motions. It's pretty clear he's not going at full speed.
Young just beat Runyon from a 2 point stance
Rjanyg : 11/30/2019 2:39 pm : link
He was trying on that play. No TE help or RB chip. One on one and it wasn’t close. The kid is a stud.
Saying mailed it in is a terrible case of confirmation bias.
Zeke's Alibi : 11/30/2019 3:05 pm : link
If he didn't want to risk injury he'd just sit it out.
He's been doubled all day, when he hasn't he has created pressure
Zeke's Alibi : 11/30/2019 3:06 pm : link
but carry on.
So you been killing them all day in wildcat running on edges
Zeke's Alibi : 11/30/2019 3:11 pm : link
So you decide to run it up middle. What an unbelievably stupid play call.

0-5 vs OSU?
What
AcidTest : 11/30/2019 3:44 pm : link
an embarrassment.

As someone said, Young was doubled a lot. He frequently got pressure when he wasn't. I also don't blame him for doing everything he can to protect himself. This game was a rout by the end of the first quarter.
Michigan has no identity
Oscar : 11/30/2019 3:45 pm : link

Yeh I wasn't sure, it ended up off tackle. But when you see that just call the play.

bw in dc : 11/30/2019 8:05 pm : link
is never, ever dull.

That FG at the end of the first half by Auburn, where they got the extra second added back on to run the FG team on without a timeout, was a huge moment...And it exposed a huge flaw in the replay system because the review basically gave Auburn a 4th timeout.

No confirmation bias from me. I couldn't give a shit about Michigan or Ohio State. But it was pretty obvious from watching the first few plays that Young wasn't playing with the same intensity that he usually plays with. He looked basically disinterested. Sure he was double-teamed on many plays, but there were instances where it was one-on-one and he just kind of went through the motions. He set the edge on a few plays but overall he just looked apathetic.

That's the sense I got. But I do agree that he should pull a Bosa and sit out for the rest of the season.

I don’t even know where to start with this...so he comes back from suspension last week and puts up a dominant performance against Penn State, but decides at some point during the week that he no longer cares and he’s just going to go through the motions? Couldn’t be further from the truth. I respect what you’re trying to do evaluating prospects, I really do. But if that’s your evaluation from watching that game, well then might want to go back to the drawing board. Brutal
