be surprised if we win another game this year. Miami and Washington are better than us right now. That would mean we'd finish the season with a 12 game losing streak. I assume that would be a franchise record.
I think 10 straight was the record. I think we’re going have the dubious distinction today?!
"He's a rookie" isn't a valid excuse. Jones has a pathetic YPA and the Giants have struggled to score points with him as the quarterback.
It matters when you're going to have the second pick in the draft.
What does this mean? Which rookie QB's came in and lit the league on fire? Mayfield was very good last year and regressed this year. Who else? Please don't use Mahomes as an example.
We need to scout and consider the QBs. Two kids who look like franchise QBs up top.
I think we’ll pass and take Young, but last few games will be important for evaluating Jones. I think Jones is likely our long term QB, but we need to do our homework.

Jones is the least of our problems.
If the giants draft another qb then we’re even more of a joke
yeah its funny how some people say we have the worst coach in football and then blame the GM for the players we have.
At some point we need to make up our minds. this is either Shurmur's fault or Gettleman's.
If Shurmur cannot coach then we dont really know whether the problem is with the players.
Eric, yeah, it's possible it's both The coach and GM, but like you said of the coach is terrible, how much is that impacting the gm's players? That's not an excuse, but a reasonable possibility
this team is week after week. Just basic fundamentals of football mistakes. If ownership doesn't see how bad every single player has regressed across the board and fire the Coach then we are in for many more years of this shit. We are the worst team in the NFL and the future isnt looking to bright right now.

Even Barkley, the "crown jewel" of the Gettleman era, is JAG at best after this coaching staff has coached him up. He doesn't pass the eye test anymore for being anything special.

You mean the same way we did when we had a 2 time super bowl MVP veteran QB? interesting..
I agree. I don’t think it’s the QB so much (whichever QB you want to talk about) as it is...everything.
Did you ever think the Giants had a chance to win the game?

His boy Lamar averaged under 170 yards passing last year and didn't negate that one bit.
Difference is Jones doesn't have Harbaugh and Roman as his coaches.

Perhaps coaching impacts players a lot.

there was a point where I felt the outcome wasn’t set I stone.
Ball should’ve been caught

We blew that pick but we'll poised to get a do-over with the #2 overall.

Very nice observation. I’m satisfied with Jones but still question if he’s a product of the “safe” scheme that aims to produce 60%+ completion.

Lamar Jackson just won throwing 4 YPA and having 105 pass yards.
Coaching matters.
