I'm sorry, but what the hell? I mean maybe it wasn't severe or debilitating, but the fact that Daniel Jones had a "noticeable limp" leads me to believe it was more serious than he let on. If that's the case, how the fuck do you leave him in the game?
Of course they cleared him to play. It doesn't mean he SHOULD'VE continued to play.

the Giants have a full medical staff and all of the FO is present at the game. If there was any concern at all for Jones, you'd have to think someone in that chain would say 'ok, time for this guy to come out'.

Shurmur was scared Eli would refuse to enter the game.

That's on the medical staff to decide - I'm assuming whatever it was it was minor enough to let him keep going.
But my point was that clearance was an organizational decision, not on Shurmur. Obviously Shurmur wants him on the field at all costs, it's his best chance to win and save his job - the rest of the Giants org is there to ensure that the decision made reflects the best move for the organization both today and for the future.

Right, but the fact that he had a "noticeable limp" after the game leads me to believe it may be a bit more serious than we think. If that's the case, how do you justify leaving him in the game and risk further injury?
Fans often forget to coaches and players doing this for a living, there are no meaningless games
Jones had a mild ankle sprain. About a series after it happened he wasn't limping at all. Did you see him limp in the 2nd half? I never even thought about it after they showed him point to his ankle as he came to the sideline.
I chuckled
But we can question Anakim.

I dont want Shurmur in the tent
If Shurmur is in the tent, who is going to use all of our timeouts with 5 minutes left?
Welcome to reality, Giant fans. This line gets human QB's on crutches.
