"The Giants fired Ben McAdoo after 28 regular-season games. He was 13-15 and went to the playoffs in his first year. Pat Shurmur coached his 28th game today. He is 7-21.". PFT
I didn't check to see if someone else posted it. I don't care to be honest.
Arizona
Detroit
Ny Jets
Dallas- twice and they are just 6-6
and include 1 win vs TB that we should habe lost and a win against Washington who was playing with 3 backup Olinemen and an injured QB.
He was a supposed offensive guru who took the 6th scoring offense in the NFL, and with the same personnel turned them into the 26th scoring offense in 2016.
He was an offensive HC and his offense was pathetically bad.
When the defense played much worse the next year the team couldn't win any games with the offense.
that aside he was probably a better coach than shurmur, and spags looks to have been a much better DC than bettcher.
the fact that the giants switched to a 3-4 without anywhere near the personnel to do it to get bettcher in here is looking almost as bad as hiring shurmur on a 5-year deal.
Beats the fuck out of me.
Lincoln Riley, Matt Ruhle, David Shaw, make one of them an offer impossible to reject.
Yeah, that's the scary thing. In any other division we're possibly looking at a 0-16 team. This team is that bad.
McAdoo was terrible, and the team was a mess, but what you didn't see was the week to week regression that you're seeing now. Players are actually worse as they continue playing for Shurmur. Barkley is exhibit A. The guy is not a good running back now. But it's all over the roster.
He really wasn't. They were both Offensive HC's who were also the playcallers. Look at both offenses and you'll see neither are good.
2015 New York Giants defense: 31st in the NFL (Spagnolo coaching)
2016 New York Giants offense (same personnel, McAdoo coaching) 26th in the NFL
2016 New York Giants defense (Spagnolo, 200 million in free agency) 1st in the NFL

He was. Just look at the record. He had his own faults but he is a better coach than Shurmur.
McAdoo's fatal flaw was losing the locker room. That's something Shurmur is good at.
McAdoo was saddled with the same shitty o line problems that Shurmur has which is a contributing factor to their offensive issues.
At this point we are debating what is better, a giant douche or a turd sandwich.
McAdoo got sabotaged by two-faced Mara who needed a fall guy for the Eli benching plan he actually approved.
They are both offensive-oriented coaches. Shurmur has had the benefit of Saquon, McAdoo had a better version of OBJ for a year. But Shurmur's offense is superior to McAdoo's, and it's not close.
That's why McAdoo sucks so much. He brought a new offense to the Giants that was a complete dumpster fire.
Shurmur doesn't have the wins, but his offense is functional. The QB play will get better, the turnovers will go down, and the wins will follow.
2016 the team won with defense and was more conservative on offense to try and actually win football games- add in Odell big plays and good clock management and it was 11 wins.
I think Shurmur’s a better offensive coach than McAdoo, but both were/are in over their head.
I do feel bad for him as he’s seems like a great guy, but he’s not the major force at HC you would hope for out of the head man in that job.
Mahomes was gone when the Giants selected Egram with the 23rd pick. They would have had to trade up to get PM.
