In this listing, ties are broken using the stregth of schedule (SOS) based on the current records of all 16 opponents (division opponents count twice).
Lower SOS picks earlier. The NFL puts out draft order that doesn't include an opponents record in a team's SOS until that team plays that opponent.
TIEBREAK WITH WAS
The first tiebreaker for draft order is strength of schedule, not head-to-head. This is according to the NFL ops website. If the Giants end up tied with WAS, the team that picks ahead is the team that wins fewer games against the following two teams. You can see the Giants are very likely to pick ahead.
NYG: ARI, TB. Currently 8.5 wins (15.5 losses). There's 8 more wins these teams can get.
WAS: CAR, SF. Currently 15 wins (9 losses). There's 8 more losses these teams can get.
Magic number is 2 (any combination of ARI loss or TB losses or CAR wins or SF wins) for NYG to take this tiebreak.
I'd expect Burrow to look like the shoo in top pick by the draft. It'll be interesting to see how the Giants would handle that if they pick 1.

Great job.
Considering how he and Shurmur celebrated the improvement from 3-13 to 5-11, it will be hilarious to see how they categorize this year's decline.
If they even get the chance to hold such a farcical press conference then shame on Mara.

LOL, had to laugh because its probably true.

Yes all on gettleman. He missed a few assignments on the field today. You continue to believe the Bs that spews from your pole smoker?
Coaches coach, players play. Our OL is wildly underperforming and our coach is running end around to practice squad players.
yeah whose in charge of putting the players on the field?
is can't be the guy who decides trades, free agents, practice squad, and drafts
no wya!!!!
And the jackass traded away our 3rd round pick this year! (And 4th or 5th next year) SMFH
No shit. Thanks for finally joining the party.
I don’t see any way how they screw this up. Both Miami and DC are playing a better quality of football than the NYG.
+1 million
This team is a damn joke, the Giants are the worst team in the conference, and that's because of the lousy work from those two men.
Even with the tie breakers in our favor, may be tough not to get that 4th win. Ya, Ya, Ya, we suck, bla, bla, bla.
When its all said and done, I think the coaching staff remains - year 3 of 5 year rebuild.
And some of you debate the "fire them all" cries?
#1 given that CIN would have a 21.5 game better SOS than NYG.
That kick is 1000% going to come back and haunt this franchise.
It was a pretty exciting win though and easily the most enjoyable moment fo the last 3 seasons though.
I couldn't agree more!
I wonder how many of his supporters would have been in favor of hiring him if this interview scenario could've taken place;
Generic Pro Gettleman guy: So Dave, you're taking over a 3 win team. Where do you see us in two years?
Dave Gettleman: Worst case 2 wins. Best case maybe 4 wins. Now let me tell you a little about my resume...
Did he hire wco Mcadoo, citing some analytics based metrics goal of Eli throwing 70%?
Think there's a clear pattern here.
Get DE D. Young who will rush the passer well as a rookie, trust me. Rebuild this defense.
A few key veteran UFA's to upgrade our defense along with good draft picks and the development of our youth and we could really show improvement next year.

Is incredible to me. He took a terrible team and miraculously made it even worse. If I was the owner, he would be the first to go.

The roster is worse than last year, the defense is worse.
They weren't on in my area yesterday, apparently didn't miss that much. Don't fret, sounds like thy found a new long snapper at least...
I am not sure he will go though?
If they hang on to Shurmur, better make some coaching changes here, starting with the DC.
I don't think they have recovered from blowing the
SB against the Pats. Look at their record since then,
for example.

Carolina kind of the same way after losing in the Super Bowl, you're right
"it's not worse than last year" is the absolute best you can say. It's certainly not better. 'potential' that you have in young players doesn't put food on the table.
