Something positive to take away from yesterday's game...

...the Giants running attack looked much better with Saquon Barkley attacking the hole, and the O-line giving him a couple of nice creases. And the offense cut down on Barkley taking it in the grill 5 yards behind the LOS.

And on defense, the Giants front-7 pretty much stoned the Packers run game.
I wouldn't say much better

and I think Barkley might have a vision problem (serious not sarcastic). He has missed wide open holes to his right a number of times and has misjudged multiple passes his way- looking back to the right.

The bar is pretty low right now so i guess yesterday was a positive but it was far from encouraging.
I have to say

The defensive backfield was the worst unit yesterday. I didn't feel like the DL played poorly.

Our defensive backs gave up a big pass play every time GB needed it, even when he was under heavy duress.
That also could be

Due to the field conditions offense always has the advantage in lament weather they no where they’re going whereas the defense does not ..... they should have gotten the ball to Barkley much more until the other team stops it but Shurmur goes away from the run
19 rushes for 83 yds

Barkely or the Line or the play call

But there were more than a handful of plays where he just runs into the back of the C or G.

Bizarre.
I think Barkley got the word he was dancing too much in the backfield.

So he settled for small positive yards rather then potential big gain/big loss plays that dancing gets.
Has the bar been lowered for Barkley that low?

Guy would break runs off last year once or twice a game. I know the line is shitty, but it was shittly last year to. You wouldn't want to miss a Barkley hand off last season because there was that thought that he might take it to the house.

This year, we are getting excited when he gets a 4 yard run. No imagination with Shurmur and trying to get him the ball in space.

I think Barkley's bum ankle makes him an average/below average RB.
He could do those things last year with good ankles.

Danny did not lose a fumble in which the opponent picked It up. (I know he fumbled.).

I also know he had 3 pics instead but he did have extenuating circumstances again.....suspect pass protection, difficult weather, and two starters (Tate and Engram) out.

I don’t think Danny has ever played in snow more than one time.
Barkley still

didn't look like last yr to me. He was missing some huge holes and making the wrong reads. Though I will say his blocking was definitely better yesterday.
