Has Baker improved or is Beal taking some of his

playing time away? The last few games I don't think we've seen him picked on nearly as much.

Is it a combination of rookie year at a tough position and just needing a better DC?

I still have high hopes for him and in my opinion he's flashed some talent.

At this point there appears to be no rhyme or reason. It would appear. What it looks more like is Shurmur is just throwing shit at the wall and hope it sticks.

Shurmur has his faults but I�m pretty sure he is not the one making the decisions who is to play on defense.

He was a first round draft pick that plays like a UDFA. For a CB that has been thrown on a lot he has 3 passes defensed and no interceptions. BFD.

in man coverage, but he's lost in zone. Lets hope he develops like Corey Webster did after a shaky first year. Beal needs reps before we can tell. Same with Love. Ballentine, imho, is not athletic enough and we've seen enough of Haley in coverage.

Yes he has looked better last 2 games. The Bears WRs are not anything to write home about though.

I agree.....I�m sure receivers get touched 5 yards Passed the line of scrimmage all the time.

Illustrate why one needs a great speedy free safety. Or two.

Which probably enables a simpler set of assignments for the corners. Such as man cover all day.

Which could change things very quickly. Possibly even more dramatically than an edge player would. Or as dramatically.

And separate corners coaching from safety coaching

Both he and Beal need to play as much as possible .
Agree the PI call on Beal was nonsense . One of the
toughest positions to play period let alone Rookies .

I think with a good DB coach they have some good young talent at DB.
