Watching Seattle tonight with Fluker looking ok at RG. Saw somebody posted that Flowers is playing well at Washington. Bobby Hart is still starting for Cincinnati although that’s probably not saying much. I saw a game last week and Omameh (sp?) was subbing at LT and seemed like a player. I don’t remember the name of the RG the Giants signed halfway through the season last year who looked respectable. Whatever happened to him? I don’t know if it’s coaching or scheme and if it is, it’s more than 1 coach. And, I don’t know if I’m forgetting about anyone else. But, how are we so bad at OL and have been for a long time and some of these guys are clearly either adequate at their positions or have just gotten better with other teams?
Building an O Line is not easy to do but finding building blocks like Fluker and Brown is the key.
We pay Zeitler a good amount, 3 times the amount Fluker or Brown make.
We have decent guards right now. The key to building this line is to find a young Center and Tackle in the draft, sign a free agent stud for Right Tackle.
Solder will be back at Left Tackle.
I’d like to see this next year:
Solder, Hernandez, Creed Humphrey, Zeitler, Conklin
agree 100%.. Coaching.. The Giants coaching staff from top to bottom is shit. That's why many players that have left the Giants for another team, those players are doing better. Example Dovon Kennard.
McAdoo
Shurmur
Thank you.. Nuff said..
I get tired of the easy blame it on the lineman sucking when many of these guys do decently elsewhere
Don’t forget to add Newhouse to the list

He's has been OK.
I watched him, he was barely acceptable and missed some blocks
"OK" isn't a ringing endorsement...
Also, it's not like Hernandez and Zeitler have nailed every block... Neither have been significantly better than Brown.
As for Richburg, he is the main unsung hero on the 49ers. As a center, Richburg has a lot of responsibilities in terms of blocking and being the mastermind of the offensive line. He’s the glue that is supposed to keep them together, which he has done a fantastic job of doing. Jimmy Garoppolo has been relatively unscathed through three games.
David Diehl was good enough at left tackle in 2011 playoffs.
Might the coaching staff have something to do with not fielding an even average offensive line although it's been a priority for six years.

how is it Solder was a foundation for a great Super Bowl franchise and the next year, with us, he stinks. Good enough for the Pats. Not good enough for the Jints..
Thank you.. Nuff said..
Solder was not that good with the Pats either. Let's be real here. He absolutely sucks right now, but he was nothing special with the Patriots.
"foundation?"

I get tired of the cheerleading that thinks its all on teh coaching when in fact many of us thought the G-Men needed to do much more with the OL after last season's debacle.
for example, Solder's strength wasn't run blocking, neither was Hernandez coming out of college, neither is Zeitler's strength of run blocking. Our center was thought to be a big problem and we have a bad but cheap RT. Yet we're supposed to be able to run the ball? That's right teh homers would say BECAUSE "Remmers' would be better than Wheeler ofc we'll have a solid run game. OFC halapio is better than Pulley it means w'ell have a sold run game. OFC Hernandez in his 2nd year won't level off because after all he's a Giants and the homers seem ot think only their drat picks get better. This type of blind homerism is pretty much a constant. Sure buddy - one person is all the problems. Keep living the dream.
What you had was a bunch of homers that think DG can do no wrong and they buy into his shtick. Instead let's blame it all on the HC. The same HC that DG hired. But ofc it's not DG's fault, right?
