lose our next 3 games as Eli is limited in that horrid pocket.
Jones comes back for the finale and plays tough. 2-14, first pick in the draft, and we trade down fleecing a team for picks and / or players.
New HC is Rivera from Carolina, a proven commodity that DG knows.
The other option is we actually win say 2 games and fall out of top 5 pick. Whole new coaching staff and GM take over a team that cuts high priced guys like Solder, Jenkins, Ellison, Bethea to name a few.
I want to see him do well but my nightmare scenario is that he somehow rallies the team and wins 3 of the next 4 to save PS’ s job ... This team goes nowhere next year with the current coaching staff

That absolutely would be a nightmare.
Whether Eli wins or not (and I am genuinely rooting for him), it is time for Shurmur and his staff to go.
with Eli starting. First off, our defense is every bad offense's elixar. Second, Jones has mobility and though used less lately, it stuill resulted in positive yardage and first downs. Eli has none of that. Third, I don't care if Tate plays and EE plays, Eli had very little time with either during camp and during his two game stint as QB. Barkley is the only guy who could change things BUT, even though Barkley had his best games weeks 1 and 2, we still lost both games and couldn't score points.
Eli gets his starts and finishes his career but we will not win 4, 3 or even 2 games with Eli starting.
I feel like Eli is being made the sacrificial lamb OR Â

Look I think we lose with either guy, but I don't summarily dismiss Eli. He will do some things better than Jones, such as adjust plays to put our players in better positions at the Line of Scrimmage. This has a bigger affect than many realize, its a chess match. So yes Jones has better mobility, but Eli will try to avoid the rush other ways.
Like I said, in either scenario eventually the dominance of the Eagles front 7 will win out. You can't win games either way if you are getting dominated at the LOS.

Daniel Jones (ankle) again not practicing. Doing leg work in a boot w/trainer on side. Jabrill Peppers (back) not at practice.
TE Evan Engram (foot), WR Golden Tate (concussion), TE Rhett Ellison (concussion) and CB Core Ballentine (concussion) all practicing in some capacity.
Or block, or consistently catch a ball cleanly coming out of his break, or show one scrap of evidence that he's the 'matchup nightmare' we keep hearing about...

If a 5-11 record is enough to save Shurmur's job, then it doesn't matter who the next coach is because the guys calling the shots have no clue whatsoever.
Hopefully the Giants win some games and the young guys get into some winning habits before the games start to matter again.

Whole new rebuild around Jones.

The Eagles DL and LB's typically own our OL and hit Eli everyway to Sunday.
He is either going to get killed or he finds a way to succeed to help his signing next season with another team.

Shurmur says Jones ankle is progressing and a fast healer, but "very slim" that he faces Eagles
