what becomes of that team next year?
They just extended Elliot. Prescott is in need of a deal, as is Cooper.
Do the Cowboys figure that all of their woes this season are coaching related? Is there something else holding up a Prescott extension, maybe a tag for next year while they move on to another coaching staff? Is there a philosophical change coming to the way they play, possibly with a new coach coming in and a different offensive or defensive point of view?
With all of the focus on the Giants shitshow and the chance that Garrett might land here, I haven't really seen too much discussion on what's on their horizon.
It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out
So we don't discuss other teams in our own division?
I can see it - I'm pretty sure from the results the Giants FO doesn't discuss the other teams in the division either.
Not saying I'd do it but look at what Cousins did. That guy worked it perfectly. Yes, there is risk involved but he maximized his potential with accepting the tag and then hitting FA and getting a fully guaranteed contract.

This season, Dak is pitching it at a 65.5% rate (325 out of 496) good for over 4,100 yards with 24 TDs vs 11 INTs. And a QB rating of 98.2.

But barring a huge move to trade up into the top 10, they are gonna have to overpay him massively

He has carved up bad teams. Against good teams, they fall behind and he usually puts up a lot of garbage numbers.
He's a good qb, but don't see him as a difference maker
Zero chance Riley leaves. OU is a better job than being the Cowboy’s coach. Meyer is possible.
