Staal in the lineup...ugh. Hajek out a month with a knee. Montreal has some key injuries though. Home game on a back to back so pluses and minuses there.
Rangers currently in a 3 way deadlock for 7th seed in Eastern conference with two games in hand v the Sabers. Playoff hopes are alive and well. Consistency is the issue. Team has to bring more grit on the edges and behind our net. LGR!
Side notes Nieves returned to Hartford. Neither he nor Lias doing much at 4C so far this season. Rumor that an Anderson-Puljujarvi deal was discussed with the oilers but no traction yet there.
Nice shot.
you just saw them a week ago. Weak defensively, spotty in net (so far). they are a speed/forecheck team. If they're on, they're tough to play against. if they're bad they're about as bad as it gets. fringe playoff team.
they're down 3 top 9 forwards (Drouin, Byron, and Kotkaniemi) and 1 top 4 D (Mete) - so injuries impacting them a little 5v5 and with specials since all 4 players have a role on specials.
Habs lack the elite talent the Rangers have (Panarin, Zib,) but might be deeper up front.
Gallagher is MTL best player, so that should tell you all you need to know. and that's not a knock on Gallagher.
it's fun to watch sometimes when he's on your team if he didn't smile so much, but with him and Gallagher they must drive other teams crazy. they're both small, pesky players.
Always a bad sign.
Then great work by and in front of Grigoriev.
great song, done it at gigs many times. :-)
In my case some (Giants only), but without enthusiasm. But Rangers hockey is terrific. Well, more often than you'd think this year.
Nuts!
Lucky for the habs, they do not match up well right now 3v3 - especially with a team with Panarin.
good bounce back for Price.
