Parking at the Stadium advice

Dinger : 12/6/2019 8:21 pm
My son has been BEGGING to go and has prefaced it by saying I know they stink BUT.....
So I broke down. First time at MetLife and I understand parking works differently than the old stadium. Do I need to buy parking ahead of time? On Ticketmaster it asks how many 'tickets' I need...for parking? Then you CHOOSE the ROW? Really confusing....any advice on parking or attending in general is apprecated.
Yes you need...

to buy a parking pass. I never bought on ticketmaster so I don’t know the answer about section and row but I imagine that’s just the default form. It shouldn’t matter.

Even when they suck, it’s still exciting for a kid’s first game. Have a great time.

Thanks Chrs, we've been to a few different baseball stadiums and quite a few Yankees games. Hes as big a Giants fan and I feel guilty I havent taken him sooner, but we'll suffer together and hopefully have a memorable time.
I buy on ticketmaster all the time

Doesn’t matter the row or whatever. Get a blue zone and you can park pretty much anywhere. Just make sure you print the pass on paper. Have fun!
Parking passes

A last second reach but since metlife opened there has always been a fellow off the route 3 exit into the far lots behind the workout center who always is buying and selling passes and game tickets.
Just get it through one of the ticket service...

Blue is fine. Red is closer but those lots are less fun.

The blue lots are the true tailgaters.

You can save 10 bucks....if you buy from rt 3 guy...but its do or die by then....
I always park over by the Izod center

And you don’t need a pass there. $30 credit card only to get in. Dunno where you are coming from but the exit is right by the entrance to the turnpike so it’s simple to get out.
Its been a while, but thanks guys this is perfect

and Though my son was crushed, yet again, by the Eagles game, we're going rain or shine....
If you don't have a parking pass...

...check with Grasshopper Also or Redd's Restaurant - both are on Rt 120/503 and probably still have shuttle service.

A couple of times, I did this through Grasshopper, $10 for parking/shuttle and they threw in a free drink.
you have tickets yet?

.
Anyone ever take the train on the New Haven line?
HomerJones45 : 12/12/2019 10:02 am : link
I see you can buy one ticket that covers both the MTA and NJT but is there a "one seat" option where it is not necessary to change trains? I see there was at one time.
Map it out

When I had seasons tix I found a Blue Lot that worked for me in and out of stadium

1) Buy online. Can get a Blue Pass at face. For this game probably less.

2) You want to be close to the gate you are entering. No sense in parking in first lot available and then walking around the stadium especially if game or weather sucks and you want to leave.

3) Try to find the best match between gate and route home. If you stay for the whole thing you don't want to be on the access roads for an hour. I live on LI and my seats were in the Verizon corner. I used to park in lot D. Easy to get to from gate and then 2 quick lefts onto service road and out to NJ Tpke.
