College Conference Championship Games

Baylor is supposed to play good defense. Just gave up a 70 yard catch which should have been a 3 yard game but for 5 missed tackles.

Atrocious Baylor defense on that 70-yarder.
Mr. Bungle : 12/7/2019 12:23 pm : link
In addition to all the missed tackles, it was down the sideline the whole way. How do all those defenders fail?
LSU UGA should be fun.
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 12/7/2019 12:27 pm : link
Clemson UVA...snooze. I think OSU annihilates Wisconsin.
Baylor really shaky beginning
joeinpa : 12/7/2019 12:33 pm : link
Probably tight, pretty big moment for them
Oklahoma
jeff57 : 12/7/2019 12:33 pm : link
Starting to look good for that fourth spot.
Cee Dee Lamb is the best WR in the draft, he was getting punished
Zeke's Alibi : 12/7/2019 12:36 pm : link
by Lincoln Riley the last few weeks for something that happened in the locker room or off the field. If we somehow lose out on the Chase Young sweepstakes I'd have no problem taking him. He's the second best positional player in the draft in my eyes.
Not surprised about this OK Baylor game, just look at what happened
Zeke's Alibi : 12/7/2019 12:37 pm : link
in their last game. Baylor was only in it because of turnovers and they saw something at halftime they knew they could exploit on both sides of the ball. This is just a continuation of that. If we get Rhule, we better make sure he has some legit X and O's guys following him.

Don’t agree. Good receiver class. Can get one later. Also don’t be.ie e in taking a runner or receiver in the top 5
Good luck to the Badgers
Jim in Forest Hills : 12/7/2019 12:42 pm : link
Hopefully seeing OSU once helps overcome the talent deficiency between the two. Would be a great football year if they can upset a powerhouse OSU team.
We can all watch
Jay in Toronto : 12/7/2019 12:42 pm : link
Chase Young tonight.
i hope and think we'll get Chase Young
markky : 12/7/2019 12:45 pm : link
but if not give me the LB Isaiah Simmons from Clemson
Murray looking really good

Have to give Baylor a lot of credit
Eli Wilson : 12/7/2019 1:29 pm : link
I thought OU was going to steamroll them there after that 1st qtr.

Yeah, they weathered the storm pretty well
James Lynch
jeff57 : 12/7/2019 1:35 pm : link
Has got some Watt in him.
If I hear one more word
MookGiants : 12/7/2019 1:40 pm : link
about Lincoln Riley and how good he is I may lose my mind. We should all be praying the Cowboys hire him.
Anyone watch the Utah/Oregon game last night?
montanagiant : 12/7/2019 1:42 pm : link
Oregon has a true freshman DE named Kayvon Thibodeaux that an absolute game wrecker last night. 4 solo tackles, 2.5 sacks. I don't think I've seen a Freshman Defender take over a game like he did
Wow, Baylor.
Pete in MD : 12/7/2019 1:43 pm : link
Nice comeback.
OSU is going to steamroll Wiscy on that fast track.
Zeke's Alibi : 12/7/2019 1:44 pm : link
This second half of OU Baylor is going to tell you a lot about Rhule and Riley.
Picture it:
Pete in MD : 12/7/2019 1:45 pm : link
NFL opening week 2020, same two HC's on the sidelines of the same stadium but for the Giants and Cowboys.
Lincoln Riley is one hell of a head coach
micky : 12/7/2019 2:03 pm : link
Next BB of the NFL ..definitely!
I’ll tell you what, if the Giants let go of Shurmur,
barens : 12/7/2019 2:21 pm : link
Matt Rhule would be on the very top of my list. Forget about Rivera, I think what Rhule has done with Baylor is nothing short of incredible.
Baylors QB is out and won’t return
BigBlueShock : 12/7/2019 2:27 pm : link
This backup looks like he’s in way over his head. Oklahoma may start to pull away here.

yep. hard not to notice him.
Yeah, losing Brewer is killing Baylor
jeff57 : 12/7/2019 2:50 pm : link
Oklahoma will only get the 4 if OSU, Clemson and LSU all win,
Bye-bye Baylor

Assuming the favorites hold serve later,

OU is going to be in the CFP along w/ OSU, LSU, & Clemson.
Zeno

Cuts it to 3
Holy cow
jeff57 : 12/7/2019 3:13 pm : link
Zeno right on the money
baylor is a well coached team
GiantsFan84 : 12/7/2019 3:17 pm : link
the giants should give rhule whatever he wants
Matt Rhules
jeff57 : 12/7/2019 3:29 pm : link
.
That Jaylen Hurts
joeinpa : 12/7/2019 3:46 pm : link
Seems like a really classy kid
Jalen Hurts is a serial winner
Go Terps : 12/7/2019 3:46 pm : link
He's got Deshaun Watson written all over him.

I agree
We should
MookGiants : 12/7/2019 3:47 pm : link
all be praying the Cowboys hire Lincoln Riley. He'll be a garbage NFL coach. Rhule ran circles around him today with backup QB playing most of the game.

By far the most overrated coach in the country

I agree with this as well.
Hurts is nowhere near the passer
jeff57 : 12/7/2019 3:50 pm : link
Watson is.
Watson
MookGiants : 12/7/2019 3:51 pm : link
is light years ahead of Hurts. Hurts has had so many killer turnovers this year and made a lot of games a lot closer than they had to be (houston, TCU to name a couple) and his turnovers today were killer too.

Hurts is not a good passer. The system is making his numbers look good, but he's not a guy who is going to anticipate throws or throw into tight windows.

I don't see Watson in him at all.
Hurts
MookGiants : 12/7/2019 3:55 pm : link
was a remarkably poor passer when he was at Bama. His numbers look decent this year because of the system. But he's going to look a lot more like the passer he was at Bama in the NFL than he will the one at Oklahoma.

Aside from this, Big 12 defenses are trash. It’ll be interesting to see how he plays in the playoffs against LSU/Ohio State/Clemson. Assuming Georgia doesn’t win and knock Oklahoma out
I think if you put Hurts in Greg Roman's offense
Go Terps : 12/7/2019 4:07 pm : link
assuming Roman gets an HC job, there is major potential there.
Riley coached a very strange game
Kyle in NY : 12/7/2019 4:10 pm : link
Seemed at times like he didn’t fully trust Hurts to put the ball in the air. Played it extremely conservative, but they survived. I think they’d get crushed though in a semi final against any one of the top 3 teams.

Looking forward to this next one, I think Georgia has a real chance to pull the upset and give us a great top 4

I just don’t think Georgia has nearly enough offense to keep up with LSU. Their offense has been bad in recent weeks. The only way Georgia can win is if their defense plays absolutely lights out and holds LSU to under 20
Yeah
Kyle in NY : 12/7/2019 4:17 pm : link
They just haven’t had any explosiveness on offense all season but the opportunities will be there as we saw on the first play. Fromm is throwing well early
Damn
Kyle in NY : 12/7/2019 4:18 pm : link
And just as I say that Fromm misses an easy one. Chances are there though
Fromm
UConn4523 : 12/7/2019 4:19 pm : link
with 3 straight deep balls to start the game. Last one was his fault but they were all catchable.
That was a fumble didn't see forearm down
micky : 12/7/2019 4:44 pm : link
Before ball out
there is major value
BigBlueCane : 12/7/2019 4:49 pm : link
in significantly overrating the performance of an offensive genius during the regular season w/o seeing evidence of it working in the post-season.

Also Hurts sucks.

When Watson evaluated as a prospect, he was rated as nowhere near the passer that he currently is.
