Emlen Tunnell is second Giant on NFL 100 All Time Team

Emlen'sGremlins : 12/7/2019 2:47 pm
....joining Lawrence Taylor.

Looks like this might mimic the NFL's 75th Anniversary Team with LT, Tunnell, Rosie Brown and Mel Hein (Offensive Line and TEs will be named next week) being the only Giants.

He was one of 14 vying for six positions at safety. Look at the competition. It tells you everything you need to know about how good he was. Geez, Brian Dawkins, Kenny Easley, Ken Houston, Ronnie Lott, Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, Larry Wilson and Willie Wood pretty much knock everyone else off the list. That's eight, so he was selected as better than two of them.Guy had to be a monster.
He was a monster back there

He was selected as a first-team All-Pro six times and played in nine Pro Bowls. He was a member of NFL championship teams in 1956 and 1961. When he retired as a player, he held NFL career records for interceptions (79), interception return yards (1,282), punt returns (258), and punt return yards (2,209).

Those are crazy stats even in today's game.
