Cam is a very up and down QB. What Rivera did with the Panthers was very good. If we give him a solid coaching staff under him , this will be a big step up from where we are now coaching wise.

Well when they say proven head coach with a winning record not a ton of assistants have that. Actually none do

Gettleman and anyone with ties to him should be nowhere near this team. Especially a coach who couldn’t even have back to back winning seasons after a decade tenure.

While Rivera is obviously going to be in the mix don’t believe anything this fucking hack says.

behind the hiring of TWO wco coaches to mess up Eli's footwork. Likely based on some goofus analytics where we need Eli to throw 70%.

I'll take Rivera simply to ensure we don't hire Garrett, Mike Smith or Mccarthy. He was stuck with an injured mobile 1 read franchise qb, no coach would be able to do well with that.

Always the pendulum swing with this team. These mechanical movements are how Chip Kelly was able to completely decode every step this organization takes.

After Country Club Fassell we needed General Tom. After TC we needed the wannabe Millenial who wore Jordans. After McAdoo's buffoonery we needed an adult - Mr. Shurmur. After Shurmur's meek incompentence we need Rivera who is fire and brimstone.

I'm not even against Rivera - I want a defensive guy and a sound leader & think he could be good here. It's just so Giants.

hire a retread which is low risk but also low ceiling. We have seen this before. Need to pair a your QB with a young offensive mind. Everyone else in the league sees this except John Mara. Love to say I am surprised but unfortunately I am not.

I don’t think rivera is a bad move but I prefer Rhule, I’d be ok with Rivera

I think many on that list are quite old and/or have no interest in continuing to coach.

Last 2 coaches were unproven winning NFL coaches. Only guys available that would fit that bill as in a proven winning coach on the NFL level would be Jim Harbaugh and Ron Rivera.

I like Rhule but I was not impressed with the play calling, particularly at the end of the game yesterday. I would prefer to see him with an experienced OC

They should have done that to begin with. Most first time head coaches are a complete bust. Then to retread a loser like Shurmur is really mind boggling.

I'd hire Harbaugh. 4 years. 44-19 record with a .690 winning %. Two NFC championship and one Superbowl appearance. Still needs to win the Superbowl ring his brother has(talk about motivation).

if we are bad again next year...is someone suggesting DG shouldn't be fired if he has another bad year. So then in this scenario you are hiring a new GM that gets saddled with a coach he had no say in. We need to stop operating like the jets and operate like the Giants should.

Fire Shurmur and DG...start fresh and let the football operations guy pick his coach.
