but his OL does not protect well. Weapons are the worst he has probably had. I am not sure people realize how good the OL has been during his tenure. So I see part age and talent he has. Like most QB's it gets tough to perform.
Agreed.

Brady can have all the time in the world
It doesn’t change the fact that they can’t throw deep and it is very easy for dbs to get good breaks on his throws Bc everything is underneath
making major mistake after major mistake in the KC NE game.
New England getting screwed badly all game and getting screwed late.
Blew a whistle on a fumble, called a TD OB when the WR was clearly in bounds. Called a TD on a drop then changed the call did not restart the clock after they said it was a TD after New England offense was going off the field...this was all on one series.
the refs have been stealing the game from them in the past 15 minutes. Terrible officiating cost them two undisputed TDs (although if the first one played out, the second bad call wouldn't have happened).
And there have been a boatload of lesser calls, almost as bad.
RE: RE: Don’t rule out Spags getting an interview for HC.. Â
Jesus, Williams' price tag gets higher and higher on here each week.
$18M??
Nest thing you know, we'll have given up a 1st and thrown in Daniel Jones as part of it
Have you studied the comps? The franchise tag for a DT is going to be close to $16M.
Last summer, Grady Jarrett got $17M/yr. And his production is almost identical to LW's over 5 years. So that's the current benchmark. And if you consider YoY inflation, we wouldn't it be $18M?

There are exactly 4 Defensive Linemen in the entire NFL making $18 Million annually, according to Spotrac. Leonard Williams is not getting $18M/per.

You can ignore the comp all you want, but Grady Jarrett is the last DT signed to a multi-year contract over the summer. He and LW play the same position and have nearly the same exact stats. So to think that's not going to be the starting point makes zero sense.
Meanwhile, the franchise tag is expectec to be $16M. If they can't agree to a long term deal, Jints Central will tag him...
But the double-talk is hilarious. Some people act like he's a non-factor in one sentence, then say he's worth $18M in the next.
which is it??
I don't think he's worth the money. I'm merely citing the market. You can continue to live in the Land of Make Believe, but you clearly don't understand the current market.
Jurrell Casey got $15M in 2017. Jarrett got $17M in 2018. Both are DTs with very similar stats to LW.
Now, if LW's team is incompetent, maybe we get a steal. But the market just doesn't support - at all - $13M. NFW.
Jerome Boger sucks. Yet, he seems to get a lot of big games.
How has the college game avoided the officiating issues every week the NFL sees?
Agreed.
They still have one.

100 times better than Leonard Williams and we didn't have to give up a the top 3rd round pick to get him. Just could have paid him.
It’s amazing how the DG excuse makers don’t realize that we not only gave up a 3rd round pick
WE ALSO have to pay him 18m/year. When we could’ve just paid him anyway in the off-season

Giants have no leverage
LW will get a near record breaking deal, certainly north of what geno Atkins and maybe matching fletcher cox
Gettleshit gonna hang that contract over maras neck just like he did with solder. A beautiful parting gift

Mara had to sign off on the deal I’m sure. He hung it around his own neck.

If KC ends strong and makes a deep playoff run. He’s family.
I agree. He should have succeeded Coughlin and for sure McAdoo.
Love Spags, but I m one of those guys that like the Giants way. Not too popular right now

If people here don't want Rivera then they sure as hell don't want Spags... Dear god, he has been horrific as a HC.
Not often that’s been the case

Lol
Do you really think Mara was salivating at the idea of making a deal with the jets
Where he literally got robbed,
And nodded in excitement that this was a great deal? If he had no consternation’s about this deal he is far far dumber than we all anticipated
This is all about that napping boomer creating another sunk cost for Mara and digging his trench deeper

yeah no shit! for a guy who apparently is not that good, he sure is going to make a lot of money somehow next year
so much for thinking the Pats get every call...

i'm not rooting for New England, but this officiating takes the joy out of watching the NFL
Its about time for them. Happens to every one else often to the benefit of NE.
This will be big news now since it happened to them.
NFL is a joke though.

Maybe they don't think that's what he's worth, but rather what we'll be persuaded into paying.
