Survivor Pool Advice Needed

Danny Kanell : 12/9/2019 1:48 pm
Made it to the final 5 in a relatively big pool. Next week the options i'm considering:

Packers home vs Bears
Titans home vs. Texans
Giants home vs. Dolphins
Browns @ Cardinals

I'm leaning towards Green Bay or the Titans. The 4 remaining guys have used Green Bay so it gives me an opportunity to separate should another upset occur but 3 guys still have the Pats so i'm in literal survivor mode this week.

Thoughts?
I definitely would not do the Giants

Chicago has looked better lately which scares me a bit. What teams have you used so far?
Good Luck!

Those are not great options. I would avoid the Giants at all costs. Usually when a team plays a division rival the week before they are pretty beat up and play poorly the following week.

The Bears and Packers played against the NFC East. The Packers are fighting for home field so that would be my best bet from the list you have.

I would also avoid the Browns, another inconsistent team with poor coaching.

Yeah i'm avoiding the Giants I think. These are really my only viable options this week.
I'd go with Green Bay

If I'm going to be against someone in a divisional road game, it's going to be Trubisky and not Watson.

Green Bay

and if there's a significant amount of money in the pool, I'd definitely consider placing a hedge on the Bears with the points, leaving yourself a really nice middle.

This. Although if you're going to hedge, you can also do it with CHI on the ML. You lose the middle but get odds for your hedge instead, just depends on how you want to play it.
Green Bay

Have to go with them out of those options...

It's funny. I just said the exact same thing to a coworker. If I choose GB, this is the reason why.

I thought about it but it's still too early. There's 5 guys left. If it was 2 or 3, i'd consider hedging. I could win survivor this week, lose the hedge bet and still lose Survivor easily.

It's not a slam dunk between one or the other, I get that. But man, if at 3PM EST on Sunday you're watching Trubisky throw his third pick and Scott Hanson cuts in with "Check out this play by DeShaun Watson..."

...that's going to be tough to take.
