you knew we were gonna lose. but this was the best long term outcome:
1) eli looked solid, just for old times sake
2) lost the game, still got chase
3) OT, kept it close, not blown out
i was legit 50/50 pre-game if I even wanted them to win. obviously as game emotions kicked in, you root for the team thats part of you to win, but deep down i know its better to get dat pick. plus the eagles and cowboys are ass, there is no 17 coming this year
Again. Three fucking short yardage plays and we use 2 DL. Again. Afuckingain. Three plays that we have the god damn horses to stop and your fat ass uses 2 DL again. Horse shit. Fire that sloppy bitch tomorrow.
I haven't been emotionally invested in this team for 6 weeks. I want the best draft position possible. I don't like losing but I can see pig picture. But godDAMN I hate the Eagles, and for some reason I allowed myself to think how nice it would be for an Eli-led team to win in Philly.
Eli does still have a winning record. I don't know why all the graphics and records people quote show just his regular season record. Does the postseason not count for some reason? If anything it counts for more.
Young wont matter. Our freaking defense has zero clue on what they are supposed to be doing. Our OL is equally embarrassing.
I cant stand watching Bethea, but he was on most of our stops in the end.
So pissed!
I think the assumption would be that Bettcher would be fired (along with Shurmur) and a new D Coordinator might better be able to hel thing figure out what they're supposed to do.
You people talking about "we still have Chase" I need to know somethin
Huh? With this coaching staff, what the fuck is he going to do? He'll just be another high draft pick that we ruin on this worse than fucking putrid defense.
RE: Until tonight I have been on the fence with Shurmer
call plays? Can he study the Eagles defensive adjustments? Can he talk with the QB and the rest of the offense about what'll work? Does he even have time to listen to coaches upstairs? It would be different if he clearly had a feel for the game, or if he had outstanding talent -- guys who can dominate the line of scrimmage and execute... But, no. Again and again, he shows no ability to adjust. He should let somebody else call the plays, but he's just too stubborn.
He looks like a JAG and the injury was a long time ago.
Odd, considering he looked fast tonight. Not his fault they dont use him in the 2nd half
Hopefully a new regime maximizes his talents. But I think were al seeing the fears many of us had making a running back a corner stone pick on steam bereft of talent.
RE: How can Shurmur possibly think that he is equipped to

Ypu. more of the same, AGAIN. I'm all for stability, but let's start the clean out tomorrow.

Preach man!
This is why I cant blame DG. Hes given this staff some serious beef on the DL but Bettcher treats every down like its a passing down.
To all you guys asking why Zac Ertz was so wide open

I couldnt believe it when I saw the replays 🤦🏾♂️. On one of the plays we left a gaping hole which allowed Peters to easily get to Mayo to blow him out of the hole.
I dont see how they come back Sunday on short rest given its almost Tuesday already and playing a tough emotionally drive game and lose it as they did and beat the Dolphins.
Really horrific second half by Shurmur and Shula. As bad as Eagles were in first, Giants showed them equals on second half.
Dolphins lost an emotion gut wrenching game in NY too yesterday.

No doubt we do not understand the subtlety of thought that went into calling a flea flicker on 3rd and long.

Two words
Flea Flicker
Its time for the entire coaching staff and front office to go already.
Baker, Lawrence, Ximines, Slayton, Williams, Golden, Hill, Tomlinson, and Eli played well.
The OL was awful, especially Solder and Halapio. That unit was why we lost the game. The defense was just exhausted at the end.
Shurmur and DG have made too many mistakes to stay.
Seems to me you really liked how a lot of DGs additions played tonight...
Jones and Lawrence have played well, but they were first round picks. Baker has been improving, but still looks lost in zone. Nothing really from Ximines this year, or Carter. Hernandez seems to have taken a step back, but I admit it's hard to judge him since the whole OL is a train wreck. Tomlinson was Reese.
But the real problem is DG's FA signings. Solder, Ogletree, Omameh, Bethea, Stewart, Halapio, etc. Williams can play but the trade was epically bad. I'm also against any GM who refuses to ever trade down in any round.

Ive not been this frustrated with this organization since the he who shall not be named years. This team has zero heart, zero self respect and zero balls.
Right? Remember when Gettleman said "No guts, no glory kid?" in response to some question during the offseason. I said he was merely taking inventory instead of employing a tough guy cliche. I was right.

Then, we add another loss which will help make significant changes at the end of the year.
What really surprises me is how Betcher was not sacrificed at some point this season.
This was the only game Ive been able to watch start to finish. And while Im all in on the #2 pick I too am still pissed!
The difference between football and baseball is that there is always someone else to blame in football.
And wouldn't you know it...Shurmur'd.
Odd, considering he looked fast tonight. Not his fault they dont use him in the 2nd half
Its pouring rain, the Eagles were doing it all the 2nd half. Shurmur is an idiot
I have never seen a Giant team consistently run or defend screen passes going back to Alex Websters days.
I cant stand watching Bethea, but he was on most of our stops in the end.
So pissed!

Why were you on the fence? He was coaching like this last year.
Run blocking was atrocious. Solder cannot get a seal, ever! And Barkleys longest run was called back after a very questionable holding call.
Quote:
Survive this??? How is he not let go tomorrow??
You're correct in asking this, but it's been asked every game since the loss to the Jets.
I know , but 2 years in a row blowing 2nd half double digit leads in Philly and Barkley was barely used. They ran 20 freaking plays for 30yds !!!!!
Get Right Team!

He has 17 carries for 66 yards. He looks more like an undrafted FA then the number 2 pick right now

They were dead freaking tired !!! On the field the entire 2nd half!! They ran out of gas !

Ogletree need to go. He blows as many plays as he makes.
Beal always turns his back to the receiver when he turns up field. No wonder he always loses his man.
Bettcher is just an awful DC.
Julian Love makes plays, but he needs to learn to breakdown and not fly by the man he is tackling.
Shurmur probably cooked his goose in this game. As he did in the Eagle game last year, had terrible offensive play calling in the 2nd half.

his third game winning drive of his career against the Giants. Fucking pathetic that they let that loser beat them again.

A lot has to change this offseason

4 Sunshine in 2021
Keep the regime. Haha
What does it say about our offense that it couldn't move the ball at all simply because the Eagles finally took away a fifth round rookie WR?
he sunk the whole world
