netted 29 yards in the 2nd half and outscored 20-0. We scored on big plays, but there was hope that we'd have some sustainable drives after, but nope...Shurmur shit the bed and couldn't muster 3 frickin pts against an awful defense. That flea flicker was the single worst call I've seen in giants history. Somehow worse than the cards debacle. He needs to go
You don’t read this site but if you hear about it I want to say a resounding FUCK YOU for what you have given us ! Fuck GETTLEMAN and fuck that pussy shurmur ! I’m done with you ! FUCK YOU !
but, someone let me know when I can be concerned about Barkley being a bust. Soft, dances, never steamrolls anyone, his hesitation to point of attack was evident this game, drops passes.
his younger penn state teammate on the birds looked way better.
Asked a question about the current losing streak, his answer "it's not something you want to be a part of." C'mon Tisch & Mara, give him what he wants.
Has there been any FA signed by Gettleman that haven’t been huge mistakes? I can’t think of one that has proven worth their salt.
Golden’s been a good pickup...outside of that I got nothing
And to think he probably only signed him as he was familiar with Bettcher in AZ. Unreal, I really don’t want Dave making and decisions with our cap money mi big forward. He did good getting rid of some people, getting new scouts in here, and fixing our drafts to respectable levels. But Gettleman is to FA what Jerry Reece was to drafting. Can we get a GM who is competent at both?

he doesn't look good to me, he is supposed to be a difference maker too.
Again, hopefully he improves.
If one of things you took away from this game is that Saquan Barkely Â
How is it that this nobody in Boston Scott goes for 59 yds 1 Td, 6 Rec 69yds?!! But but, one of the best weapons(Barkley) in the league only goes for 69 yds & 1 yd receiving?!??!?!!??! That right there is the biggest reason Shurmur needs to go and will be fired. The Playcalling and not utilizing players strengths is horrible and unacceptable..
RE: If one of things you took away from this game is that Saquan Barkely Â
This game saw the same problems we've seen all season. Slow start, no halftime adjustments on either side, looking like they have no clue in the second half, not getting Barkley the ball enough in the second half, waiting forever to call a timeout at the end of the 4th quarter. Then there is the creme de la creme, the flea flicker. What the fuck call is that on 3rd and long?
After the Eagles scored their 1st TD, they started talking about analytics in the booth and this is when you start going for 2. Huh? What analytics say to go for 2 instead of making it a 1 score game with more than a quarter to play?
Has there been any FA signed by Gettleman that haven’t been huge mistakes? I can’t think of one that has proven worth their salt.
uh golden has been REALLY good. so good i would resgin and make him play opposite young in 2020.
you dont build through free agency anyways...free agency is for depth and stop gaps. MAYBE every once in a while you land a big time player.
think about the draft and what he has done in two years.
barkley is an all world talent. watch with a good OL and a coach who knows wtf to do.
slayton looks solid as hell in his FIRST year. he def could be a #1 going forward
connelly looked like the goods before injury, very excited to have him back
jones is a franchise QB
love looks solid, i think in time he can be the starting FS.
baker is awesome in man, horrible in zone. he needs to work on it, but he looks like he could be a solid corner for a long time.
hernandez will be fine when he has an NFL center next to him and a LT that isnt on skates
carter has a nice skillset but he hasnt shown much. i think he is a great athlete and hope being a more rotational guy, he can make an impact
ximenes hasnt shown much but again, maybe a new scheme and coach he can be a rotational pass rusher
lawerence is a run clogging monster who can push the pocket from interior. i think he will be a nice piece of the front 7 moving forward
hill is depth at this point, a little lack luster for sure after a great showing last year
beal struggled, but he is still young and inexperienced
ballentine is a blazer but needs a ton of work
his FA signings
stewart-Depth-didnt stop us from signing anyone
bethea-old, but he wanted a vet to lead what he knew would be a young secondary(he is a goner)
omameh-hoping top catch lightening in a bottle, guy was huge. his talent level wasnt but regardless he had to field a team
martin-depth guy, rotational piece, maybe he makes an impact in pass rush(drafted his replacement in ximenes and now maybe carter if we get young)
solder-big fail, however...who saw this coming? NE offered him a deal too. he was a quality LT when we had ZERO stability along the OL and quality LT play in the NFL wasnt falling off trees.
Remmers-uh who else was playing RT. he had literally NO CHOICE
Tate-you guys hate but i like the signing. he is a tough gritty WR and he knew in PS offense the quick passing game was key. i think shep/slayton/tate is a fine trio moving forward
You guys want to kill DG but this is a WILDLY young and inexperienced team at key positions. His two drafts have been solid. look around the league...not every draft just produces a ton of starters. the FACT is building a team takes time. our previous GM was a shitshow after the first two rounds outside of one season. it takes time to rectify 6 straight years of poor drafting. I think with a PROVEN HC (not some mcvay fantasy that you all have) this team would have been a few wins better THIS year. next year with another draft(yay for chase young) and some quality FA signings(schobert or littleton to play alongside connelly) and I think we can compete in a weak division.
Also, using 2 down lineman when they Eagles were first and goal on the 3 yard line is absolutely idiotic. Bettcher is so stupid it's actually hard to fathom.
as far gone from this team as possible. Thankfully, Pat handled that himself with help from the usual suspects.
One day everyone on the defense will know their responsibilities. Unfortunately that day will only be after James Bettcher is fired. Can't knock the effort though. The secondary is good for one absofuckinglutely killer penalty that negates a 3rd down in a key spot EVERY single week. Today it was Sam Beal's turn.
The Chase for Chase continues.
And the other thing I took from the game is that the Eagles Â
fucking suck and have no business in the postseason. Yes, they have a lot of injuries, but they were fucking lifeless tonight and only the ineptitude of Pat's Putas saved them from a season ending embarrassment.
Someone should tell Beall that if you are going to commit defensive holding you need to at least do it long enough so the receiver doesn't catch the damn ball anyway. 5 yards is better than 22
The Eagles had lost 19 straight games when trailing by 14 or more points in the second half before rallying against the Giants. They previously overcame a 20-6 deficit in a 30-27 win over Indianapolis in Week 2 of the 2014 season.
RE: RE: RE: anybody else conerned about barkley ? Â
ZACH FUCKING ERTZ!!! Are you fucking kidding me? Betccher should be fired tonight. Immediately. Not allowed on the plane. He should have to rent a car to drive home.
To me the flag on third and ten giving the Eagles life allowing them to march down the field was the final straw. They would have punted at that juncture might have been a different outcome. Maybe.
Again, the Giants went into the locker room with a lead at halftime and were shut out in the second half.
If that doesn't prove that Shurmur and his staff have no clue what they're doing to the owners, then I don't know why Shurmur & Co. are still employed.
Doug Pederson went into the locker room at half behind, made adjustments that forced an overtime, and as usual the Giants lost to the Eagles.
As for Shurmur, it didn't matter that his future HOF qb was perhaps starting his final game for the Giants, he made no changes.
I want Shurmur fired TODAY!
Gettleman can get axed after the season, but I want Shurmur to be fired!
Golden’s been a good pickup...outside of that I got nothing
Fucking Deer in Headlights, look....... his answers are comical
Golden has been very good imo. Problem is that he has a 1 year deal

Odd, considering he looked fast tonight. Not his fault they dont use him in the 2nd half
Um, they used him a lot in the second half. He wasn’t effective.

Seriously, Barkley sucks now. I think he may become a bust. Hopefully the new coach can save his career.
He plays soft too.

And the offense died at halftime the moment Schwartz adjusted. Losing team. Losing culture.
2-11.

The allure of the Giants is GONE.
You have to overpay while you build through the draft.

Used him a lot? LMAO. Last possession in 4th QTR. First Down pass gets 7 yards. Three downs to get 3 YARDS. Did Barkley get the ball? Even once? STFU
This coaching staff must go. They are losers.
