Should have called timeout right away. Also, for a second straight week they got caught off guard on sudden change. That is bad coaching.
After each game Shurmur would talk about the feeling of winning and learning how to win. I think he was really speaking to himself trying to convince himself they could win.0

way.......I knew at halftime that we were going to lose this game simply because we have seen it too many times before.
Eli trots out in the second half and get completely flustered by a coach who adjusts their defensive gameplan at halftime.
3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out......completely puts the D on the field almost the whole second half and OT....They played their heart out on D, but even they were sapped by the notion that no-one on that team was going to keep the Eagles from winning.
That Eagles offense was dead in the water with very few weapons and a crowd that was booing them out of existence, yet they made the plays they needed to win....and the Giants drive home again losers.
The overhaul of this team from top down needs to be huge and sweeping...a complete change of philosophy...complete freedom to put a team out on the field that will conquer instead of being conquered...that will give their fans the thrill of competition again.
Last night I sat there not caring.....and as many wives have said to their husbands who cheat.....when we do not care anymore....it is over.
You know how Belichick and the Pats are always prepared, always in the game even if they are obviously overmatched in terms of raw talent? All these years and it’s still surprising, almost shocking, when they lose a game. They know how to win, they adjust and work at it until they get it right in game. They maximize their talent and any advantages they have.
With Shurmur it’s almost the complete opposite. I think it’s possible he could get this team to 9-7 or 10-6 if he had an unbelievable talent advantage, but he’s not making anyone better and he’s not winning any chess matches in game.
I honestly believe that. They just look unprepared at times and that falls on the coach.
How many times last night did you see the Philly play call end up being the perfect call against our defense? From mid 3rd quarter on, completely out coached.
Another thing this team does not have is a leader at the player level. They are a misfit toys collection out on the field trying not to run into each other.

where he said that when he came to the Giants they didn't know how to win. They weren't having fun. LT set out to change that. The Giants need a strong, hungry leader on this team.

Also, the giants have lost 7 games this season to teams with sub 500 records. Maybe 6 but my god do we suck. This year’s schedule was cake.
Giants dominated the first half. Pederson adjusts and the coaching staff has no answer on either side of the ball.
