Yes, I know it's not going to happen, but I can't get my head wrapped around how inept he is as a head coach. How in God's name did this man get this job? He is-without ?-the worst Giants head coach I've ever seen. I was too young for the Handley years, but @ least Handley finished 8-8 in '91. This guy has won 7-SEVEN!-games in 29 games. That's a winning % of 24%.
Doug Pederson-who seems like a total tool-ran circles around him, especially on that 4th & 1 play in the last minute of the game. How do you burn off 18 seconds or so before calling a TO? And how about halftime adjustments? It seems like the Eagles made some on defense. Do we counter any of that? Of course not because we have the worst coaching staff in the league. I don't think that's hyperbole either.
I don't know how Mara can go in front of the press come 12/30 & trot out his usual garbage about 'Well, everyone's on notice' spiel while probably bringing back DG, but firing Shurmur. Fire them both. They both suck at their job. Just look at the damn results.
3-13 in '17.
5-11 in '18.
2-11 in '19, including an ongoing 9 game losing streak...
UFB.
Hi!
Why keep him around at this point? He doesnt know how to win a fucking football game. Just end it now so we dont have to see his press conferences anymore.
We did it two years ago. We fired our HC mid season. Spags took over.
Make Mike Shula the interim head coach and move on.
At this point, if you want the first of second pick, pray they change nothing till the season's over.
We also did it with Jim Fassel, who actually stayed on and coached the final two games of the season anyway.
Chipper? I thought he sounded like a dead man walking. Which isn't saying much because he always lacks charisma. In fact, a couple of times I thought he had to fight off emotions when responding to questions about the team's record and his future.
I would guess whatever interim gets put in place won't be winning anything anyway... can his ass TODAY
There are coordinators. Name interims. Let it ride, then start new after the last tick of the final game this year.
I wanted Eli to win that one last night. But that's finished now. It's time to go 0-3 and wrap up the draft position.
There's nothing else. Nothing.
The real advantage in doing it now, you can start the process of talking and negotiating with other candidates now, before other teams start competing for their services.
Yay.
What’s your bench?
You dont think that will play into the mindset of future coaching candidates when deciding to coach here.
Like what the fuck people

It shows that if you are not good at your job, that ownership won't just keep you around for the sake of it.

We have to accept that risk. Anyway, what’s wrong with the concept that if you want to keep your job, you need to produce? What have we got now?
Fire Shurmur and bring in Rivera NOW!
Everyone wants to win, but these guys know they will face more criticism from media/fans then anywhere else, they want to know there is security and management will support there plan.
Firing 2 coaches mid season after less then 2 seasons each is not a good look.
Fire Shurmur and bring in Rivera NOW!
umm has any NFL team hired a new HC mid season in history of the game, is that even allowed?
how about no.
Fire Shurmur and bring in Rivera NOW!
Bill Arnsparger
Ray Perkins
John McVay
You have not been suffering long enough.
ok........

This is an NFL head coaching gig with a major franchise. I think that’s a big selling point. If you succeed in NY, you’ll be immortal. I’d look at it as a great opportunity, not a scary thing.
