until i saw a replay. i believe 2 other teams did it with success against this same eagles team, the pats being one of them.

its just sad we ran the SAME play they got burned on twice this season.

we're literally looking at what other teams do instead of having our own identity. we still can't run a decent screen.

Many here judged the play without all the facts. Yes, the safety bit and Tate was wide open...wide open. With time we had a td.

If Eli had just 1 second to throw it... I wonder how many easy TDs Eli could have had over the last 3 years if it weren't for an awful play in pass protection. I recall a handful of times Eli loading up the deep ball to a man breaking wide open deep just to get strip sacked and/or sacked...

Erik Flowers played better than Soldier did last night. He has been so bad. I mean he had help on the play and falls down.

This. It just goes to show the coach doesn't think about the mentality of the defense. Eagles DE's are notorious of just pinning their ears back and rushing the pass first then stop the run. On 3rd and long we are better off just max protecting and throwing deep than flee flicker shit.

Many teams run the ball and play for the punt. Despite BBI's view it's very common and isnt exclusive to Kevin Gillbride lol

It was a good play call, they rarely happen for us. But to bitch about a play that 100% shouldve worked is bitching just for the sake of bitching. I hate Shurmur as much as anybody here, but anyone who understands strategy can see it was shockingly a pretty good idea.

And even if the pass rushers were pinning their ears back, which would be highly undiscliplined of them in that situation (that's how a draw goes for 20), theres never any excuse for your LT to get beat that badly.

This is people just stuck in whine-mode which I cant blame them for but none the less that's the reality.

Except it worked. If Nate Solder was not a turnstyle, its an easy TD and the Giants win.

To Nate Solder this guy is terrible, it was a 3 man rush all he had to do is push his guy up field or push inside to Hernandez so he can get some help .

the fact that his plays rely upon Solder being a capable blocking. Therefore, all of his playcalls should be QB kneels, a la The Waterboy.
