Too bad Shurmur

couldn't adjust to the defensive scheme changes by the Eagles in the 2H. Eli was having a very nice performance in the 1st half.

I wonder if Shurmur went into halftime feeling like “I got this” and pretty much Decided to stick to the first half script.....but the problem was, Eagles apparently covered Slayton, and as you can see, everyone else was insignificant. Even Shep and Barkley could do nothing, which tells me the Giants OC is not doing enough to get the ball inTo the Hands of our two best players (Barkley and Shep).
Totally agree 5 Bowls

That just highlights how poor a coach Shurmur is. Pederson was able to adjust and scheme his practice squad running back and Ertz open any time he wanted. Meanwhile milquetoast Shurmur stands on the sidelines befuddled and unable to get Barkley the ball with any room so he continually runs him up Halapio's ass.
Yes completely on him.

The O-line getting owned had nothing to do with it.
I think

Eli would have a chance latching onto a starting gig next year if he just would’nt fall down or fumble as soon as someone sneezes on him. I get that Archie taught him that technique so that he could have a long career, but in today’s game, you have to be willing to move around and take a few hits. He has to realize that if he gets dinged up at this point it’s not a huge deal. There will not be a huge drop off to whoever is backing him up. If he shows a little toughness, someone might give him a shot.

I wonder if Eli changed any plays at the line of scrimmage in the game ?? Especially in the 2nd half, This is supposed to be one of his biggest assets

.
People you can’t have it both ways

People blame DJ then when Eli takes over its not his fault. Be consistent.

Not sure what you are reading Carl, but I don’t see any Eli bashing here. This thread so far has been used to bash the play calling or the HC.

The numbers showing three of the four quarters Eli did nothing to little was never set up to bash Eli. Rather, merely exposed for our pondering, amusement, and discussion. Of course anyone can draw their own conclusions they want to.

I’m not interested in discussing whether Near 40 year old Eli should be our starting qb.
2 things are consistent though

1) our o line sucks
2) our play calling sucks more

Hard to win with that combo

100% bar fan hyperbole.

Kt wasnt taught by Archie, its taught by coaches.. Tom Brady does it every other week. The emphasis is ball security otherwise you end up fumbling 15x like rookie Daniel Jones. Veteran QBs are smarter than that.

Fans apparently are not, they just wanna see John Wayne bravado bullshit rather than smart football.

"Show some toughness" disgusting. You have zero clue what you're watching.
