Shurmer is very likely to lose again. All he does is lose. Losing to both the Dolphins and Jets should be unbearable - even for Mara.
Sure Giants ownership likes to do the right thing and wait, but that's also a sign of their ineptitude.
One bad tell, or mistake , among the many that DG and ownership allowed to happen is on this staff they have no one else that seems able to take over.
Personally I think they should have fired Shurmer weeks ago but before that Bettcher.
I'd fire them both - now. Let Shula take over as interim and manage through the year.

There's nothing to be gained from sacking him now, not as if the remaining game or two allow for any significant adjustments that would prove useful for evaluation. If management wanted to see any specific changes, they could just ask Shurmur for them.
So if it happens, it will either be after Sunday or after the game on the 29th.
Given the options, if they lose to Miami, you may as well just put him out of his misery after the game. Why hold a charade where 90% of the questions he will be asked from the moment that game is over until December 29 will be about his job security?

Agree - wait until end of year. The team seems to respect him and most are still playing hard. They have stayed together despite the horrible record.
They may win, but easy? The Dolphins beat the Eagles, who after making halftime adjustments scored 20 unanswered points against these losers. I'm thinking Fitzgerald is licking his chops to throw against these corners.
The only things the Giants have going for them is the weather and Devante Parker being out.
I don't see much of a point in booting PS now, and doing so would only be to appease the fanbase.
