Put aside recent events, and appreciate what he did for us. Upon arrival, he performed at an extremely high level, and along with Landon Collins, gave us a couple years where the secondary was a unit of strength that helped propel the Giants to their only recent playoff appearance.
I hope I'm not alone when I say I really enjoyed seeing him play at lockdown level. As years have gone by, it is what it is, but his early and overall contributions deserve our appreciation.
yes 2016 happened
Hopefully they stay at the Jerk Store where they belong!!
He's worth way more than whatever they'd get back for him, and it's not like he's old/dead weight/bad culture fit that they need to get rid of in the same vein as Jenkins
Got paid a huge amount of money for 1 great season, and was a shitty team mate who quit on the team on multiple occasions. Appreciation threads should be for players worth remembering. I dont hate him, but he ain't it.
- Had 1 good year, and 1 OK year.
- Should has been released prior to 2018 season and eaten the cap hit
- Ditto for 2019.
- Terrible influence on the new DB's
- GOOD BYE!
Good point.
I think the Giants are perhaps being more Machiavellian than PC. This way they have an excuse to release a guy who was obviously going to be a cap casualty anyway.
Now they don't have to pay his salary for three weeks in a lost season.
This is worse than being a 2018er (which I am)! :)
Sorry Burtman.

Is there ANY player on the team who you like? Anyone?
I did not dislike him, but I certainly don't see where he gets an "appreciation" thread.
Releasing him was a stupid and meaningless gesture. He had a lot of value for many teams and failing to capitalize on that value was dumb, dumb, dumb.
Hopefully he'll let a bunch of other information fly between now and when he joins the chiefs.
At any rate, Jenkins certainly had some good moments here, but his overall results were mixed, to say the least. With a better team and more motivating coaching staff, he might have been a pretty valuable piece, but in difficult circumstances he certainly didn't make the most of a bad situation.
Why don't you cool off and take a ride on your Peloton... wait, is that too insensitive? BBI had really turned into a microcosm of what society is today.
The Giants won nothing with him here and in the end he turned into a malcontent. You want to give him appreciation, have at it.
he came to NY to win and obviously money.
best of luck Jackrabbit.
don't be stupid and use the R word in any context again.
Giants just wanted to keep the bad coaching and losing off the front page for a week.
Congrats!
Jenkins vs. Dez Bryant - ( New Window )
Don't appreciate his conduct

He was an all pro on an 11-5 giants team
That year happened. The giants were relevant- the defense was tenacious.

what a dumb post. Do some of you have some sort of inside information the rest of us don't? Were there any suitors for Jackrabbit? What was the compensation offered?
Also, the fact you think releasing him was stupid and meaningless after using a derogatory term and being so unapologetic about it says a lot about your character. Your parents must be very proud.

Some of these people live in an alternate reality. I see why cable news is so popular.
That is what I will always remember about Jenkins.
...a cornerback with way too much talent to be wasted on a dumb, stupid football franchise.
Here's to your going to a real football team / organization that knows what it is doing!

What if a reporter asks him how a receiver got open deep, and Janoris says, "I was retarded by the muddy conditions on the field."
Byeeee
Agree catch a play off ride JJ !
