and just move on. Too many bad moments in the last several years for me to really get upset. I'd starting thinking more that they are becoming "Knicks 2.0".
Exactly. Obviously I'd be really really disappointed and frustrated. But I'm a Giants fan, and will remain a Giants fan. I can't not be a Giants fan. It's certainly less fun when the team is bad, particularly so when they're making decisions, over and over, that don't move us in the right direction. But I'm not giving up my fandom, and short of that, there's not really anything else to do. (Complaining on internet forums doesn't count as "doing something"). I'll be pissed, but keep watching and waiting for things to turn around. And I guess paying closer attention to the top draft prospects, since we'd be in line for another one in 2021.
may very well win the Super Bowl. I'd spent so much time grinding internally about it that by the time it actually happened? There's not a fucking thin I could do, so I just shut that part of me down.
Shurmur comes back for Round 3? I'll still be a fan of the team and root like a crazy motherfucker every weekend, follow all the year-round happenings, etc. But it really has become tougher to be as emotionally connected lately. Haven't shut it down, like with the Eagles winning ... but Shurmur is retained and I could see a part of me going numb over this franchise.
Go on BBI and watch the meltdowns and have a cocktail.
Look, I am not a fan of Shurmur, never was and it looks like amateur-hour out there on the sideline and the play-calling this season. With that said, just pointing the finger at this chucklehead as to what is wrong with the Giants is short-sighted.
The Giants announce they have just signed Bill Belichick to a 5-year deal that makes him the highest-paid coach in NFL history. He is bringing his sone and the Pats OL-coach with him.

I don't want DG here and I'd be ok sacrificing 2020 to purge them both.
I don't believe in DG to hire the new coach.
Well, DG+Shurmur in 2020 would go 0-16. I get that that would force the front office to be nuked from orbit, but I don't want to see my team go 0-16 either.
This season has sucked a lot of energy out of me and if Pat Shurmur comes back I know we are just looking below average at best.
I wan weaken closer to the season but, for the
first time I may just not worry about Sunday football the way I have most of my life.
Please. You'd finish your 8 paragraph thread on how you think this is a good move and the future is bright before hitting submit.

Contrary to your perception, I don't applaud or approve of every move the Giants make.
My family's well being is my top priority
...So I would make sure to make it neat and quick when I drink a gallon of drain-o and they are not there to witness.

- Everyone that opens this thread, including myself.
At first, I read this as 5 less games than this year.
It's not possible, but I agreed.

This will probably get missed by 90% of the thread, but it was a gem.
I'm guessing Boylhart said some kind things about Shurmur.
lol
