Passing up on special players is silly, especially when your reason for doing so is "we dont have enough average players". Those teams suck because they had a special player and didn't get anyone else to play with him.

You want to know what is comical? People here want DSG gone - including me - yet I see many referring to OL and DL as "hog mollies," which is DSG's stupid term for them.
The people that hate the Jones pick are going to constantly lament that we passed on Josh Allen. I don't hate the pick; in fact, I am optimistic that the Giants have found their franchise QB.
There was a tweet this morning of starting QBs who have thrown the highest percentage of passes under pressure. Jones was leading the way with 50% of his passes being thrown under pressure. Now, could some of that be a result of holding onto the ball too long? I suppose. But this is a major problem. So maybe, just maybe, people will wait until Jones has a decent OL and most, if not all, of his weapons healthy before labeling him a mediocre QB or a bust.
If Jones winds up being a bust and Allen a star....

And maybe Barkley being banged up is the reason why you never take a RB with the 2nd overall pick.
Listen I'm okay wiht it providing DG follows up and gets some OL.
But until DG does this-- posters like you are always going to be making excuses for Barkley and Jones. It's not their fault. But they do need a better OL however before their potential can thrive.

Josh Allen is LT now. That escalated quickly.
And he was playing more the first few weeks of the season, so it's not a case of easing the rookie into things.
If the coach thinks the defense is better without you for half the plays, that might say something.
I feel the Giants will end up in pretty good shape by comparison.
