Rhule vs Judge Press Conferences

nygfaninorlando : 1/9/2020 2:26 pm
People raved about Rhule’s press conference but having watched both press conferences, Judge absolutely killed it. Easy to see why Mara and Gettleman were blown away. Rhule came across as a college rah rah guy. Judge comes across as a leader, a teacher and a motivator. Tough and hard nosed. After listening to the blandness of McAdoo and Shurmur the past 4 years, what a breath of fresh air Judge is. I’m and excited for the future and seeing Judge build this program.
Let Rhule go

Much more impressed with both of them than the retread hires our NFC East rivals hired.

Both Rhule...

and Judge are huge rolls of the dice, regardless of how they sound in these pep rallies.

For now, I'm just glad we didn't choose Rhule.

Hopefully Judge has the right stuff.
To be honest

Rhule sounded like a phony. Judge was exactly the opposite.

style just doesnt work for very long in the pros. The Giants dodged a bullet by failing to get him. Im so glad many of this board were wrong about Rhule being an automatic hire.

Reality is that Judge has worked with bigger and better programs and talent. One daily challenge will be professional players (adults) and he has more experience workng at NE.

His biggest challenge is this organizations selection of talent. Hopefull they just draft everything he has worked with and accepts minus injury bug.

not even fucking close

Rhule liked being wined and dined in Texas....and talked about sports science.

Judge is hard core real deal!

It was just a PC. It was better than Rhule's though. Judge is the more intelligent man. He has all the traits necessary to be great. I hope we get the fuck out of his way. Hire whoever the fuck he wants.

I get the car salesy vibe from Rhule too. He's a smooth talker, but if you ask me who I believe, that JUDGEment is easy!

+10000 for getting out of his way.

Give him the f'n keys, and only ask when and how often he needs the car washes, or tires rotated.
If the Giants and Panthers play in the preseason,

the commentary is going to be insufferable.

I think the Panthers found a really good coach who will probably have success for them.

I'm very happy with the Giants' selection, though, and I think he's going to surprise people.

Exactly. I guess it's expected that some will compare the two, but there is no reason that both can't be successful, or fail.

This is getting to be like the silly obsession with the Browns some people had.
It would be interesting if we played

against Carolina next year.
Rhule's father was a preacher correct?

Compare them both to McCarthy and Rivera's PC

JJ has all of the qualities BBI has dreamed of, in addition to being hard nosed which many of us think this team needs.
BUT as a newbie HC does he have the credentials to pull it off? Will he get the resistance that Col Tom got, until after some time the vets (e.g. Strahan) came around?

I don't see him being as forgiving as PS to the "puppies" for missed assignments.

JJ said the talent is there; it will just take time. Operationally I translate that as I will play the puppies (vs "hired hands") but give them tough love; if they screw up they should be wary of coming back to the sidelines (Parcells).

The fine line is how you follow up, and Bill was a master at that depending on the player. (Dabo Swinney likewise; Etienne vs Nolan Turner - an insider comment for Clemson fanatics.)

Don’t know about phony, but I definitely thought it was more generic. Blew a lot of smoke up Tepper’s butt, not much content in terms of philosophy.

Judge’s PC might as well has been his introductory speech to the players... more specific and to the point
I don't get a lot of the above comments.

Rhule was "phoney"? Wut? He simply didn't have much to say regarding his vision or plan, and didn't seem like he invested a lot of time in his prep for this opening PC.

Judge on the other hand just killed it. It's obvious he spent a ton of time preparing it - or he is perhaps a brilliant orator. I'm guessing the former, that he's obsessive in preparation for wherever task is at hand. That's probably a good trait.
