Agreed let's see them finish it off...I'm pulling for them
TItans
Bavaro_the_Mafioso : 1/11/2020 10:28 pm : link
If i were Vrabel, I'd run Henry 30 times a game all the way to a championship.
That hit on Landry totally got in his head
mattlawson : 1/11/2020 10:29 pm : link
Landry started roiding after that from embarrassment
Jacobs
Mr. Nickels : 1/11/2020 10:32 pm : link
Henry is the closest to him though.
Just an FYI .. Jacobs is..
Giants4Life : 1/11/2020 10:34 pm : link
1” taller and 30lbs heavier and ran a 4.4

That’s incredible
And Henry
Daniel in MI : 1/11/2020 10:37 pm : link
Looks like he has a dookie hanging off the back of his head, which Jacobs didn’t.
Henry is a better RB
BigBlueDownTheShore : 1/11/2020 10:47 pm : link
Brandon was better at dishing out pain and was often injured because of it.

But Henry is a bit niftier between the tackles and finding the opening.
Anyone
Mr. Nickels : 1/11/2020 11:30 pm : link
think Henry has a short shelf life as Jacobs? This has gotta be his peak. Late bloomer too..

Yeah, that’s pretty bad. Come on man.
Henry has better balance and recovers

This
Amazing that Derrick Henry was considered "soft" just as of
Leg of Theismann : 1/11/2020 11:54 pm : link
like middle of last season. Apparently Eddie George got in his face and literally said "dude you are 6'4" 250 and you're SOFT!" Henry apparently took that to heart and started running more North/South and not being afraid to *initiate* contact with would-be tacklers. That was just prior to the famous 99 yard run last year where he stiff-armed like 9 people and then at the end of the run was basically looking for more people to stiff-arm lol. Then this year he wins the rushing title and here he is literally carrying this team to the super bowl potentially. Awesome story. And Tannehill's story is similarly inspiring.
Bradshaw was very
Darth Paul : 1/12/2020 12:14 am : link
physical as well, great pairing with Jacobs.
I'm still not sure we know what kind of a runner Saquon
CT Charlie : 1/12/2020 1:20 am : link
could become, because our line seems to limit his ability to fire up straight-line head of steam.

When and where did Jacobs "run a 4.4?"

In your back yard with you timing him?

IIRC he ran a 4.63 at the combine...

I'm gonna check.
Jacobs ran 4.56 at the combine.
BlueLou'sBack : 1/12/2020 1:31 am : link
At 6'4.5" and 267#.

Still Impressive
Henry is quicker and
section125 : 1/12/2020 7:11 am : link
has better balance. Jacobs was physically more imposing. It also looks like Henry is smaller in the legs by a large margin.

Nobody wants to be hit by either one of them. So Henry absolutely reminds me of Jacobs.
Jacobs
Lines of Scrimmage : 1/12/2020 7:28 am : link
was a tough and mean SOB......he even knocked out play clocks.

How did Henry make it to the 2nd round
HomerJones45 : 1/12/2020 9:52 am : link
with that size-speed combo. And he can catch some too. What was the knock against him?
Henry and Jacobs
crick n NC : 1/12/2020 10:03 am : link
Pretty similar combine results
Jacobs came in twenty pounds heavier

Jacobs combine

Henry combine

I’m always amazed how players with big hair or some of these crazy hair styles get it to fit in the helmet and how does the helmet fit properly. You would think the league would have some kind of guidelines in place with the emphasis on concussions the past few years
Henry has better wheels and wiggle
djm : 1/12/2020 10:24 am : link
More athletic but the two are similar. Separated by 2 rounds in the draft for good reason. Both showed and proved in their respective careers that they should have been drafted higher. Jacobs could and should have been a second rounder while Henry could and should have gone in round 1.

We need to get Barkley to Henry’s place where he’s running downhill all day long. We will win.
Shouldn’t say Henry has better speed
djm : 1/12/2020 10:25 am : link
But he’s got better burst.
I maintain
Coach Red Beaulieu : 1/12/2020 10:47 am : link
we don't win those 2 SBs without a player like Jacobs.

Big Jake!
trueblueinpw : 1/12/2020 12:18 pm : link
Loved him! Was actually thinking about him last night when Henry got caught from behind on that long run he had. I think Big Jake is in the end zone there.
For some reason I see a little of OJ Anderson ...
Spider56 : 1/12/2020 1:25 pm : link
He started smaller at 6’2”, 220 but added some pounds as a Giant ... Remember him planting Kelso in the SB ?

I have never once commented on this topic but I find that I must...
In what way is his comment about his dislike for how he wears his hair racist? I find it ludicrous to conflate inconsiderate remarks about a man's aesthetic propensities with hatred for persons of other skin tones. Was it unkind? I would say so (though much worse is said here on a daily basis). Was it racist? It is unreasonable to suggest so. Not only that, it minimizes the malignancy of true racism when you bandy about words so haphazardly. I am sorry if I upset anyone with this comment but I felt a compulsion to do so given the weight of the matter.

I think it got in his head more because he was already a massive juicer and still got trucked!!

After that, he's like, "I'm as big as I can be and I still got plowed over"!!

Agree with this. So Henry has a piece of shit hanging out of the back of his helmet. Why is mentioning that a racist comment.

If anything those who suggest it is racist are the ones drawing the correlation from shitty hair tail to a particular race. THAT suggestion is in itself racist.

Now, to the original question and purpose of the post, here are my thoughts...

Jacobs hit a few people hard and it made some highlight videos. However, I think Henry is more physical on every play. We saw too many plays with Jacobs where he ran as if he was 100bls lighter. Not hitting the hole hard (dancing) on 3rd and short for example.
Love me
Darth Paul : 1/19/2020 7:22 am : link

Henry had a nice run in these playoffs.

I still take Jacobs because he brought the element, the team was missing in our run.
