This week is the opposite. Three games so far that really weren't that competitive.
I agree that last weeks games were better but the Titans knocking off the beat team in football was impressive. And it was still competitive, Baltimore just couldn’t get in the RZ.
I had tonight’s game circled for a while now as hopefully the best game of the weekend. My 2 favorite QBs going head to head in some fairly cold weather.
... seriously, how can you hate Andy Reid? Yes, he’s no Belichick, but a solid coach and supposedly a good dude.
O'brien outchoked him
I don’t get the vitriol and glee about the old walrus being a choker ... 11-9 in the playoffs with a lot of the losses to Darth Vader (BB) ain’t so bad.
They were up 24-0 and are now down 20! I know we lost a 24 point lead at the Niners to lose a playoff game but this is a lot worse. They were up 24 points and could end up getting blown out

No credit to KC for storming back? Tough Andy Reid crowd.
Patrick Graham!

It all turned when O'Brien went all pussy and chose a FG over going for it on 4th and inches inside the 10 after they had been going up and down the field on them. You have to play aggressive vs a team with the firepower of KC. He handed them confidence at that point

KC does get credit for rallying but Houston was up 24-0 and then 24-7, and Bill O'Brien fakes a punt which is one of the worst decisions I've ever seen in a playoff game...Houston did most of this to themselves

KC finally healthy and when that offense is intact, it rivals anything the NFL has ever seen.

JJ Watt is also regarded as an all-time great defensive player, so Houston doesn't have that excuse. Plus they have an above average QB in Deshaun Watson who should be able to keep up if the game becomes a shootout
In which a team was up by 24 and wound up losing by 20? That HAS to be a first.
Definitely a first in the playoffs. Might have happened in the regular season at some point but I can't recall a team winning by 20+ and then losing by 20 in the playoffs
A team winning by 20+ points at some point in the game Â
Mahomes, Hill, Williams all hurt for long stretches this year. When they are all on the field — with Kelce, Watkins etc — this team stands with the Martz Rams as one of the most varied/complete offensive teams in modern history.
I couldn't stand O'Brien at psu. He did dumb stuff like that all the time and it bit them. He got a lot of fanfare for keeping the team together during that time, but few mentioned they hardly lost anyone and he made some of the worst personnel and coaching decisions I've ever seen. He continues to do so in Houston. The fake punt up 17 deep in your own territory is par for the course.
I'll take the Titans at +9. It's been 2 months since the Titans beat them and they have playing better than back then. I still think Chiefs win, but 9 points is a lot
Yup and just an idiotic take by Romo saying it was a great call to fake the punt.
I mean if it had succeeded it would have been a genius call there. You don't usually plan for a 3rd string safety making a shoe-string open-field tackle.
fuck that up 24 nothing. DONT HAND THEM BACK MOMENTUM. make them earn it. its a bad play win or lose...
I'm pretty sure it was not 24-0 at that point. It was either 24-7 or 24-14, but the point is the Chiefs had clearly grabbed the momentum at that point and Bill O'Brien was trying to reverse the momentum.
He clearly sensed the Chiefs were on a roll at that point and was trying to do something to quash the momentum. It came close to working that guy just made a spectacular tackle. But yeah, because it didn't work it look stupid as hell because it then added even moreso the KC momentum. You could see Bill O'Brien was nervous after that didn't work.
Been annoying for a year now. He never shuts up.
“Sarcasm off”

Titans v Chiefs is gonna be great. Two of the highest scoring teams in the NFL the last 8 games.
O'brien outchoked him
Good for the Chiefs, but awful for the NFL.

Great rematch game next week.
I'd say the Chiefs will win handily but I won't doubt the Titans anymore.
That game was lost because they made zero adjustments in the 2nd half to give Seahorn help on T.O. and the blown calls on the final FG

and go on to lose the game, especially by double digits, it is a ghastly choke. See what happened to us in San Francisco with Fassel

But you're correct this is worse
We’ll have to agree to disagree on that one. To me this goes under the category of “heroic comebacks“ by one of the great young QBs ever.

I think the Chiefs are gonna blow them out. It’s a bad matchup for the Titans.
Only thing that gives me pause is Vrabel vs Reid.
