QB coach for Jones?

Jay in Toronto : 1/12/2020 6:11 pm
Has there been any buzz on hiring a QB coach? Gilbride had that role early in Eli's career.

It seems that the benefit to Jones' development is a criterion for selecting an OC. I get that in terms of game planning and calling. But apparently he needs work with his footwork (and holding on to the ball) among other things.

Wouldn't those types of tasks be better offloaded to a QB coach?

Lombardi would make complete sense. I was wondering if they'd bring

back Shula as a QB coach only for consistency but I could see Lombardi. Currently Asst QB coach for New England.

Bingo
It concerned me that Shurmur was the HC and play caller

while Shula was the OC and QB coach. I am glad to see that each coach will have one job that they can focus on.
Shula as QB coach did a pretty good job, imo.

If he wanted to return as just QB coach and JJ was fine with it, we could do worse
What exactly would an assistant QB coach do...

Hey Mick, light, no sugar.

Sure Mr. Brady.
Thanks guys

I'm just hoping QB will be one coach's sole responsibility.
Probably not gonna be

Very popular, but if we do bring in Jason Garrett as OC, I wouldnít mind Jon Kitna as the QB coach. He did very well with Dak imo.

Agree, I hated that arrangement. It meant somewhere in the chain one or more jobs was not getting 100% focus.

If his son is a possible candidate I will certainly be rooting against hiring him. Lombardi can go f himself after all the bs he's spewed about the Giants, specifically even just last week about how the Rhule situation went down.

Seems like a weird way to view it (and a little unfair to hold it against someone that one of their parents has been negative toward the team), but I can understand why you'd feel that way. Personally, I'd just like whatever is best for the Giants and improves their chances of being a winning team again, but I get it that some guys are tougher to root for.
