It Doesn't Matter Who Gets Hired...

Tark10 : 1/13/2020 10:58 am
Lets look at what fans should be happy...

1. The FIRE SHURMER clan of fans are now happy.
2. The DON'T HIRE JASON GARRET clan of fans are now happy.
3. The DON'T HIRE AN OLD COACH clan of fans are now happy.
4. The DON'T HIRE AN INEXPERIENCED COLLEGE COACH clan of fans are now happy.

Nobody really has a good idea about Judge yet, so some fans will bitch no matter what the organization does.

If the owners could hire Landry, Lombardi, Parcells, and Coughlin when they were in the their primes there would still be bitching pissing and moaning....

Judge was an unexpected hiring. Lets just cut the over opinionated comments for now and see how things transpire.

We all want to see this team to become successful. Lets give this guy a chance to succeed and show some patience.
Well there is one consensus

If little Bill was available and became the NYG head coach, everyone would be happy.
Show some patience?

Guaranteed someone would have issue with that too
I learned that because of the movie, The Hangover

I shouldn't care who the assistants are, other than they're Joe's choices.

Fairly certain our lack of patience on BBI isn't going to impede the new coach whatsoever...

Just being honest here
cjac : 1/13/2020 11:11 am : link
and it has nothing to do with me being on BBI or not, actually it prob has more to do with me being a season ticket holder than anything, but the truth is, i'm out of fucking patience. I have been patient. The season cant end in October like it has 3 seasons in a row. At least have a meaningful game in late November, at least win a game you're not supposed to win. Fuck i'll take winning a game you are supposed to win at this point. But patience? No thank, you'll get no patience from me.
It Takes Time

The Prime Minister of China was asked in 1970 what he thought of the French Revolution (1789).

His answer was, "Too soon to tell".

Patience, grasshoppers. It won't take that long to evaluate the new hires - but it isn't time yet.

Or sports? Or life?
Landry?
giant power : 1/13/2020 11:50 am : link
Your kidding! The Cowboys first five seasons under Landry were miserable. He finally got to five hundred at 7-7 in year 6. Landry would never had become Landry if he had this job, he would have been run out of town. Oh, and he was a soft-spoken Milquetoast with a meek, high voice. He was considered stoic, personality-less, cold, and lacking passion and fire. He was known as "Old Stone Face".

I can hear the pundits already. The Cowboys were an expansion team in 1960 when Landry became coach. Well, we have heard a lot the last week about how you build a team through the draft. Some time ago I put up a long post that listed every Reece and Ross pick, 11 years worth. A resume so horrific there are only two picks left on this team. Most of those picks are out of the NFL. For that very reason, the Giants were an expansion-like roster at the start of 2018. No franchise can endure such a period of incompetence and expect to be successful. Yet many seem to think we should already be magically competing for a playoff spot.

It took Tex Schramm, Gil Brandt and Tom Landry 7 long seasons just to get their first winning team. That 1966 team lost to the Lombardi Packers in the NFL championship Game. Those three are the greatest triumvirate ever assembled. Starting year seven, they had 20 consecutive wining seasons. They were the NFL model franchise for excellence and consistency. Does anyone seriously think anyone could survive such humbling beginnings as those three did in today's impatient world?

You re right about that
Okay -- I'm going on record

A) I does matter who gets hired. The last two fukkers who were hired din't do a good enough job necessitating a third hire

B) I'm sick and tired of the lousy product the Giants have fielded, so I want to see them make some noise out there, and I want to see progress on the field

C) I like the way the new guy talks. Go see Miss Cleo with any forecast questions! Next
I think we just hired a young Lombardi

CORRECT!!! Within seconds there'd be the 'why did the Pats let him go?' clan and the 'He's too old' clan as well as the 'he hasn't won anything in a year' clan and the 'he sucked in cleveland and left the Jets at the altar' clan.....just to stay with the whole 'clan' narrative. ;)
Not sure who you're talking to, Tark

"Lets give this guy a chance to succeed and show some patience."

If some of the comments on BBI irritate you, there are other websites. In terms of giving the new staff a chance, as Jimmy Googs notes, what anyone posts on BBI will have zero impact on Judge and his staff.
