but damn I love Spider-Man. Would love to see them work towards some kind of Sinister Six tie-in.
Yeah, they are really starting to mess this up. Making every movies with something for everybody in them. Complete f'ing nonsense. Coming. chick with a thor hammer, etc...
was to offically acknowledge that Venom movie was a part of the MCU. I also take it, whether Marvel Studios likes it or not, Morbius will also be set in the MCU.
Sony has wanted to do Sinister Six film franchise for a long time. Looks like they are half way there with Vulture, Venom and Morbius. To bad they killed off Mysterio in the last Spidey film. Unless Sony decides to pretend Mysterio dying in Spiderman Far From Home was an illusion.
Initially I was excited with the casting of Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Biel and as a WWE fan, Triple H. Although here is a brief summary of some of the issues the 3rd film had from Wiki...
Quote:
Production Troubles
Reportedly, series star Wesley Snipes was unhappy with the film's script and original choice of director. David S. Goyer, who had written all three films in the franchise, was then selected to replace the original director of the film, which Snipes also protested. Snipes reportedly caused difficulty during filming, including frequently refusing to shoot scenes, often forcing director Goyer to use stand-ins and computer effects to add his character to scenes. Co-star Patton Oswalt alleged that Snipes would spend much of his time smoking marijuana in his trailer, and that he became violent with Goyer after falsely accusing him of racism. It has also been alleged that Snipes refused to interact with Goyer or his co-stars, and would instead communicate with them through his assistant or the use of notes. Snipes also allegedly referred to co-star Ryan Reynolds as a "cracker" on one or more occasions.
Lawsuit
In 2005, Snipes sued New Line Cinema and Goyer, claiming that the studio did not pay his full salary, that he was intentionally cut out of casting decisions and the filmmaking process, despite being one of the producers, and that his character's screen time was reduced in favor of costars Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel.
RE: Sony's agreement with Marvel for the Spiderman rights to MCU Â

They are indeed building toward Sinister Six and they are more than halfway there: you forgot to mention Scorpion, he was the hispanic cat with the messed up eye who was in prison with Vulture at the end scene and he was also on the boat when they were doing the FBI sting. Mysterio isn’t dead either, they’ll counter what we saw in FFH as him faking his death utilizing an illusion. Also in the Morbius trailer you will see a burgundy truck with Kraven’s name on the side which is hinting at Kraven the Hunter. Now we just need Doc Ock, Sandman, Electro/Shocker (not sure if the one in Homecoming is who they’re going with), and possibly Lizard. Reason I say Lizard is because of Morbius: the storyline where Spidey grew 6 arms is when Morbius was introduced, Dr Connors was trying to help Spidey find a cure for that mutation, and for himself. I’m excited for Morbius, they really can do a lot with this such as: Introducing MCU Dracula, Blade, and also Ghost Rider
I think they will act like it’s in MCU but never ever go into a main MCU film.
I expect there to be “Easter eggs” in this and Venom 2. Spider-Man 3 will occur to no mention of any Morbius or Venom events and Spidey will appear in the MCU crossover film and then Spidey will move to the Sony films where Morbius and Venom exist and there will be a Sinister Six film.
hopefully feige can instill the benefits of building up to something like that instead of say putting all their origins in a basement at the end of a movie (ASM2).
Solid trailer though. Venom could have been better but i didnt think it was awful (saw it with zero expectations though) was probably saved by Hardy. Would be nice if Sony could make some good movies with all the spider man shit they have. Also i dont think Marvel is against integrating the Sony stuff in, they just arent going to integrate crap. I guarantee if Morbius is an amazing movie and everyone loves the character that Disney/Marvel would have no problems with him showing up in the MCU.
They are doing a new Blade in the MCU. Mahershala Ali is playing him.
That is part of what Sony is trying to build up and why they want to keep the Spider Man film license.
I think that is their intention with Michael Keaton’s cameo.

I think they crushed it with Homecoming and Far From Home.

Are the original Blade movies with Wesley Snipes looked down upon by the Marvel fanbase? I actually always dug them.

First two were cool, not so much the 3rd film that killed the franchise.

It may even be explained as a “Multiverse”

Marvel crushed it for them. Not SONY. They suck.
