No, not really. Paying taxes isn't socialism, even if those taxes sometimes are used to pay for social programs. If you want to use the term socialism that broadly, sure I guess. But I'm sure you also know that we are talking about actual socialism enacted on a much larger federal scale in which the means of production are under federal control.
