somehow put together top 10 defenses in AZ for multiple years, with not even that much talent. That will always perplex me. We all thought he was a perfect candidate, especially because Arians "retired", it's not like the coaching staff and Bettcher were fired. Also Arians is an offensive mind, so we can't credit those defenses to him. So what happened? Did it just so happen that Bettcher's defenses worked for that specific short era of NFL football and then he was just stubborn to change anything? Because when he was here he literally just would not change/adapt/adjust in any way even when it was quite obvious he had to (I remember Carl Banks calling it absolutely ludicrous that he would stick with the same horrible game plan game in an game out and that it was embarrassing for a professional football coach). WTF?

Those defenses were pretty talented. Calais Campbell (and then Chandler Jones), Patrick Peterson, Honey Badger, Corey Peters, Golden (pre knee injury), Bethea (pre geriatric stage), Justin Bethel, Tony Jefferson. A true shutdown corner, a safety that covers a ton of ground and a dominant pass rusher can cover up a lot of flaws.
Lol...so true....and Bettcher’s name too. Or have they already announced that?
HAHAHHAHAHA

They hired somebody else to do Bettcher's job, so he's gone unless Judge decides to keep him around as a position coach.

+1
When you have to "fit the system" it's hard to show how you fit what Judge is looking for.

They were also coached by Todd Bowles before being handed over. It was a well-oiled machine.
Absolutely. Along with his assistant.
When Hal Hunters ass is kicked through the door then we can all do backflips.
