Should/could the Giants bring in Nick Caserio?

DanMetroMan : 1/14/2020 1:19 pm
According to the Houston Chronicle Texans head coach Bill O’Brien will remain the team’s de facto GM, even if though doesn’t hold the job in a titular sense. Former Patriots team development director/character coach Jack Easterby will also apparently continue in a role as the assistant GM, though he does not officially have that title, either.

“O’Brien is the general manager without the title. Easterby, who completed his first season as executive vice president of team development, is the assistant GM without the title,” declares the Chronicle.

This means Caserio, whose contract in New England reportedly runs out this April, may not have a job to move on to at this point if that were even what he so desired to do.

Much the way Josh McDaniels seemingly will return to New England after losing out on the Browns head coaching-job, Caserio’s lack of options could be a significant positive for the Patriots as they embark on arguably the most important offseason in franchise history.

In another Caserio-related note, NBC Sports Boston reported this week that Bill Belichick’s versatile right-hand personnel man took on an increased role working with the Patriots offense this past season.

This is what I am hoping for. It’s likely that Gettleman will retire in a year or two. Caserio would be his replacement.

Ed Dodds will be up for other jobs after the draft, why waste time talking when you're never taking that one?

Interesting to think about.
