I don't get why the names have been released drip by drip.

Perhaps it's because Judge is doing his due diligence and examining each Coach separately one by one ?

I would say it would be news if any of the staff is RETAINED. Its mostly assumed that a new HC would bring in his own staff

Agreed. Isn't it assumed that all of PS's staff is gone unless retained? I don't remember this going on after TC or BM were fired. Were all of their coaches fired with them?

I disagree. You're right that a new HC would for the most part bring in a new staff, but all of these guys are technically still on the staff until the Giants release them. No one can "assume" anything as long as a guy is technically still on the payroll. Hence it's news when it's announced he will no longer be on the payroll.

It also gives us a heads up that we can expect a new RB coach, for instance, and then we can discuss the possibilities.

We retained our ST coach and WR coach, so it is not a given that we are firing everyone.

This one is legit news. Hasn't Johnson been around since Coughlin? Long tenure regardless.

Someone better is needed to straighten out Barkley and settle him down.
