The NYG should fix OL and the front 7 first.
In my opinion, that's where the bleeding is.
Given JJ and Graham's vision of a hybrid/multiple defense and as a Clemson fanatic I support the desire to take Isaiah Simmons in the first round. There are less expensive alternatives to Clemson's Tee Higgins as a long range threat.
Reggie White Jr. looked promising. Add a few mid round players as competition into the WR gamble.
Not with the depth at the WR position in this draft. Especially a year after they got a stud WR in the 5th round. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they went after a big WR in the later rounds. Hope you strike gold twice at the WR position. If you can get another Slayton type in the 4th or 5th round you're doing very well.

I'm sure them taking OL and front 7 defenders early is the plan. Unfortunately it doesn't always work out like that. Sometimes the value isn't there, but yes I agree that's what they should be hoping to do in the first 3-4 rounds.

I gotta tell you, this is something I keep circling back to. If they lose out on Young and Okudah, then Jeudy is really the only blue chip player left. If they can’t trade out of that spot, would they have the balls to take take him? If they have a good free agency, I wouldn’t complain about Jeudy at all.

What would you consider "A good Free Agency" considering we're probably going after LW hard, need a pass rusher, need an ILB, and need 2-3 Offensive Linemen. Can also use a CB and a Safety- possible FA targets. So what's a good Free Agency?
players at both 4 and 37 or wherever they draft early in round two. If they receive a good offer to trade down out of 4 to add another high mid second round pick they should seriously consider it.

I don’t know what a good free agency would look like, I wouldn’t even attempt to go there. There really aren’t any teams that can put pro bowlers at every spot, However you look at it, they aren’t going to be able to bolster every spot that you deem a need.
I just think Jeudy is a heck of a player, and if he is the highest rated player on the board, you’ve got to entertain the thought.
We know DG has no track record of trading down. However, Judge was weaned on Belichick’ s way of running a draft where they ALWAYS traded down to get more picks. If they get a good offer for 4, I think it’s highly likely Judge pushes to take it. Young and Okudah may be the only two “gotta have em guys” in this draft. Getting another second or third would help a lot.
He didn't do much of anything last night against that LSU defense.
Higgins was banged up and left the game for a stretch. He may fall to Round 2, but he is a dynamic player, and when he wasn't on the field against OSU or LSU, the impact was felt immediately

This is an excellent point and may give us real insight into the actual decision making process going forward. BB was a master of getting true value from the poor drafting positions they usually had.
this is a good year to trade down, but let's not get too hung up on NE doing it or that the tradedowns have resulted in success.
NE's drafts in the past 10 years have been ranked anywhere from the 20th spot to the 27th spot, depending on the criteria. And while that is anywhere from 12 to 5 spots better than the Giants rank, I'd be more excited if we adopted the NE strategy of FA signings.
To me, Burrow is the only superstar prospect in the draft Â
Young and Okudah are great prospects but I don't see them as the next LT and Deon Sanders. IN fact, I think this draft is rather light at the top and that the real strength is depth.

You literally just named the greatest LB in the history of the NFL and the greatest CB in the history of the NFL. Not surprising that there is no "next LT" nor "next Deion" in this draft, because there has only been one of each and we may never see anyone as good as either of them in our lifetimes.
But Young and Okudah absolutely I believe have the potential to go on to be perennial pro bowlers and that's almost the most you can ask for from a prospect. Not saying they will, I'm saying they absolutely have that potential given their physical abilities, skill sets, and reported work ethics. I think both are pretty near perfect prospects all things considered. That said I think they are the only 2 non-QBs you can you say that about in this draft, other than maybe Thomas and Jeudy, which is why considering the positions they play I'm near certain they are going at #2 and #3, respectively, and hence we won't have a shot at either of them (unfortunately).
In a heartbeat, obviously not at 4...but I can’t see him sliding out of first. I honestly feel like he’s every bit as talented as AJ Green was coming out and kinda surprised he isn’t being projected higher...but who knows because the projections right now are meaningless because the nfl hasn’t done their homework on them yet. I also wouldn’t hold his post season performance against him either, he took some huge shots in each game and was missing chunks of time/playing not 100% and Lawrence was not as consistent with his placement downfield or outside.
I think you mean Patrick Queen the LB

Displace all the good defenders down to the top of round 2 where we, having traded down 4 times will have picks:
.
33 though 43
All for defense .
