but this truly is a disgrace. Altuve’s heading toward home after the HR off Chapman and frantically telling his teammates at home plate not to rip his shirt off. That clown is wired up like some mob informant. Their title really should be vacated and players held accountable.

98% sure - a friend I trust said its true and he knows lots of players in houston
Since you've got an in with the Mariners - ever hear anything about Trout like what Scott Brosius' son was saying, that he uses HGH legally by claiming a thyroid condition?
A runner gets caught juicing after he won a race, Â
not being able to take away titles and awards. The record books won’t get hurt feelings if there’s no WS winner in a given year - same with individual awards.

Appreciate your commentary, as always. I think you or someone comments after Altuve’s series winning home run in the ALCS this year that he was very resistant to his teammates pulling his shirt off while they celebrated
For those who think it is simply "part of the game" Â
Second - my friend retired a only couple of years ago after being a middle reliever in the majors for 11 seasons. Before that he put in 8 seasons in the minors. A true baseball fan, player and lifer. You might not agree with his take but I'll go with someone who played the game for a long time over talking heads.
"This Astros stuff is absolutely embarrassing and the punishment for it will never fit the crime. As an ex-MLB player, I can tell you that you work your ass off to get to the league. You sacrifice countless hours away from your families and for teams/players to buy into this stuff is absolutely mind boggling. When my 12 year old asks me if any of the teams I played for did this it makes cringe. All I can say is 'no son the game has changed and so have people.' Shame on the players and anyone associated with this and selfishly should be banned from the game of baseball forever."
Jombo posted the buzzer theory shortly after the series win vs. the Yankees with close-ups of Altuve's batting glove
Didn't he also have a theory about a sticker that was on the bat of a player? And the defense was that it was an MLB Authenticity sticker or something like that?
Michael Kay talked about the Altuve/shirt situation yesterday, so he's in the loop on things. Should be a fun conversation. There's also a Josh Reddick photo circulating with a wire taped to his chest in plain sight - there must've been technical difficulties when he was at the plate, because he was still terrible.

I completely agree. It strips all merit away from the game, players need to be held accountable too. I agree either he other poster, strip them of their title, their rings, and suspend the players, I would also erase their stats from all years that this was going on to hold some integrity to their career numbers especially those that may be HOF bound. This needs to be a mark that brands them and ensures this shit doesn’t happen ever again. These players can cry whatever they like but they know what they did was wrong. They should have to pay a price.
One of his family members tweeted it was confetti, but Jomboy posted a photo of him later in the locker room with the tape in the same spot, minus the wire.
that guys like Bregman and Altuve will just take the field on opening day next year like nothing happened. They're still a title contender, and may find a manager better than Hinch anyway. No real punishment on the field.
As a huge Yankees fan, I'm reticent to get too excited about our rivals getting caught here. I'm not saying the Yankees are using buzzers but I hope there isn't more that comes out that implicates the bombers as well...

If they're using them, then someone needs to fix Gary Sanchez's and Stanton's because those guys swing at crap way out of the strike zone fairly often.
The players were granted immunity as long as they told the truth. Â
MLB looked to come down hard on them if they found out they were lying. The players had a huge incentive to just tell the truth. 60 or 70 players were interviewed, so they had a large enough group that if someone didn't tell the truth, they'could come down hard on them based on so many other player interviews.
That's the workaround with the MLBPA. The coverup is worse than the lie. We've just seen this with Domingo German lying about DV allegations. That is why Carlos Beltran was the only player named in the report. It is coming out he lied to the Mets in private as well.
So we are led to believe Cora and Beltran were the ringleaders. Hinch and Luhnow had the power to stop them, yet did not. Crane gets to walk away clean as the owner of the whole mess.
Maybe it's too late for suspensions, but it seems like mlb really Â

Carlos Beltran was the only player named because he is no longer part of the MLBPA.
on the Reddick photo I posted above. Upon closer inspection, it does look like a chain he's wearing with confetti over it. I was skeptical because Reddick has been terrible offensively in these postseasons.
Well this story seems like it’s going to go on and on Â

Jomboy seemed to quietly admit he was wrong about that photo on Michael Kay.

I want all of this garbage handled behind closed doors. In the age of rabid social media that seems virtually impossible and the game suffers as a result.
How can anyone take any of these guys seriously? Bregman never shuts up, Correa with his "apex predator" shit - bunch of fucking frauds. Hopefully Buck and Smoltz will stop kissing Altuve's ass now too.
1) I hate the cop out some people use that sign stealing is part of the game. That is true, but not the issue. The issue is that they used cameras and possibly other technology to steal signs and possibly to relay that to the batter. This is NOT part of the game.
2) MLB is an ebarrassment. But, I never expected anything to happen to players. I hadn't thought of Beltran being the only retired player and thus the only player mentioned by name. My opinion will not change if the Yankees are implicated. Guilty players should have some form of discipline. So should willfully knowing executives.
3) I seriously hope the Yankees aren't found to have done the same. I honestly don't take Cora's parting shot about Beltran and the Yankees very seriously.

My dodgers guy Was formally with the Angels and he told me that two years ago...His info has always been spot on
I wonder if that’s why they don’t market Trout at all Â
It's ridiculous. He remains banned because he is unrepentant and because he has never addressed his gambling problem. He hocks autographs for gambling money even now.
McCann is retired, Evan Gattis might as well be. He was probably named because he lied publicly (and maybe privately), in addition to being retired and thus no longer subject to MLBPA protection.
But is the person breaking this buzzer stuff “beltrans niece” or jomboy or both? If the fake niece is breaking stuff isn’t that account also implicating the Yankees or was that a different fake niece account. (I am beyond confused). Also who the hell is jomboy and why does he have inside information?
"claim" a thyroid condition and get HgH. There are very few conditions where HgH would be prescribed and I'd be willing to bet MLB is pretty strict about monitoring them. If Trout is taking HgH, my guess is he's not "claiming" a thyroid condition.
Sounds sketchy to say the least.
lots of scorched earth revelations will probably come out in the next few weeks (and probably should) and with them a lot of lies (I'd be hesitant to just believe all of the claims).

As I said when the suspensions came out. Manfred blew it, it's a fuckin joke.
"Like"
Plus fucking one.

Two.
This is f'ing bs.
Strip the title and just have no winner.

It's insulting.
That MLB is so terrified of the union that they redact all the players names is purely cowardice.

Yup. Also admitted he was washed wrong on Twitter
I would LOVE to hear from Verlander though.
He's one of the biggest hypocrites in the league. Oh
