It can’t mean he wants to interview an OC from one of the four remaining playoff teams because like what the Bills did, they could block it seeing it is a lateral move.
As for working out a contract....if that is the case, then it must mean Garrett, because I’m thinking Shula will take just about any offer we propose.

Requests can be made and answered prior to a team winning or losing so they would know if they have an interview lined up in the near future or not.

The point is it's meaningless in terms of teams being able to block you from interviewing their assistants. The lowest assistant on the staff to assistant head coach is still a lateral move and completely blockable.

Very possible I agree. Everything that has been "leaked " by the press so far has been positive to the Garrett hiring. This contract might be a little more complicated or different seeing how he was a head coach and asking for more guarantees than a typical OC. We don't know. The language may already be in place but details being worked out.
