A bit of a stunner to me. McCarthy was expected to call the plays and had previously said he would never give up play calling again after briefly handing it over while in Green Bay.

Honest reflection by McCarthy or Jerry meddling early?

Now Richard May be a very good coach but Jones mad that decision. Just as the Mara�s forced McAdoo on Caughlin. Ow they just need to over pay Dak and entrench that team in mediocrity

Dak and that offense did very well with Moore calling the plays and he won't have to learn an entire new offense. So you avoid disruption.

Then McCarthy can sprinkle in the parts of his WCO that he thinks fits with Moore's offense.
