No Linehan. Actually, I like Callahan and no Garrett. Garrett has experience and nothing else. Never won anything in Dallas with talented teams. I have no idea who else is being looked at. I wonder how much input Judge has on the Garrett situation.

I think it's pretty clear that Garrett has already been hired as OC.
Be that he is coming in as the passing coordinator and maybe Garrett’s successor if he gets a head coaching gig next year,
Having experienced options / line of succession would be nice. Keeps things consistent if they are successful and lose the OC. If it doesn't work they will probably be fired anyway. But you may also attract the Callahans/Linehans of the world seeing a chance to move up in the organization and potentially out

He oversaw Tony Romo’s best season in 2014 and Dak Prescott won Rookie of the Year with him in 2016. Plus DeMarco Murray and Ezekiel Elliott won three rushing titles. Didn’t end well in Dallas but he was better than folks care to admit.
.
Can we just trade offensive lines as well....can't do that? That certainly helps the cause.
That both Linehan and Callahan would take pretty significant demotions to coach an abysmal Giants team.
If you want to stay employed in the NFL, then sometimes you have to take what’s offered.
This all is starting to appear like Garrett’s influence. I’m wondering why there’s been no announcement of him as OC? They announced Graham quickly, without hiring his whole staff?!
Yes, and it is also pointing to a full news dump when it all happens in one swirl. Ie- I could see them just announce Garrett, Callahan and Linehan at once and get them all ready to go to the Senior bowl next week.
Jerry had to get rid of him Because his offenses were so,predictable and bland. You talk about a guy who would throw a 5 yard pass on 3rd and 7.....he was the master of that. Many Dallas fans hated the guy as their OC.
So I could see the Giants trying to make it work. The LB coach of that team was former Vikings DC George Edwards. I would not be surprised if the Giants interviewed him for some role now that he is no longer under contract. Maybe as a pass rush specialist if the Giants want to give Antonio Pierce LB coach job.
maybe you need to take some deep breaths. Eric, who knows more than most, is pretty confident JG is our OC. Linehan might be on the staff, but most likely not as OC.
JG did a pretty darn good job as OC and he did it with a RB named Marion.

Thanks Doc...I think you are right....I do need to take some deep breaths and exorcise those bad thoughts from my head.
May be onto something. Tom Coughlin didn’t shake Mara’s hand once, and look what happened to him.
I don’t think Garret wants the OC job with the Giants. I think he is using his influence with Mara to get his buddies a job.
I actually had that thought too, but I’m sure it can’t be right. I can’t believe JG would come here to be interviewed knowing he didn’t want the job and he is only doing it for his buddy. That doesn’t make sense.
I'm not a medical doctor (it's a nickname some old friends gave me and in retrospect I wish I didn't capitalize the Dr), but I hate to see people suffering.. ;>)
I think everything will be announced all at once. One thing BBI will have to get used to have a BB disciple as a head coach is that information will not be freely shared or leaked until he deems acceptable.
As folks have already pointed out, a Garrett-Linehan-Callahan offensive "braintrust" would be like putting an old Cowboys band back together.
...
Also, Callahan has coaches for every NFC East team except the Giants.

Eric are you hearing something or just a gut feeling?
Posted yesterday that it was only a gut feeling that we would hear something today. But if the reports are accurate and Linehan isn't interviewing until the weekend, then we may to wait until next week.

Yep sounds like he’s in Carolina now. I would hope they could have wrapped him up sooner if Garrett and Callahan were already on board...

Thanks! Hopefully we at least hear the OC at some point today.
but I'd really like to see Garrett here with Callahan.
Honestly all I want is Callahan. If they also bring in Garrett and/or Linehan it is just icing on the cake. I still find it amazing that Callahan is available.
Downfall of Shurmur besides in game mgmt, poor attention to defense with no identity .....was the coaching staff did not teach kids fundamentals. They making sames mistakes week 15 from training camp. Judge has good crop of available OC coaches. I was not happy with Def choice (worst def in league 2019, belichek groupie) so Giants need cut the crap and hire the best available OC probally Garrett before Panthers / Browns outbid for thier services. Part of a great coach is positive friction with staff ...Parcells HOF coach but Ron Earhardt OC (accomplished ex coach) and Belechik were part of the engine that fueled Super bowls!

Carolina hired Joe Brady to be OC. Why would Garrett take anything there? In Cleveland he has no real ties to Stefanski.
16th in passing
2nd in rushing
Key personnel: Romo, Murray, Dunbar, Witten, Bryant, Beasley
OL: Smith, Leary, Frederick, Martin, Free

Per public statements and every single beat writer who has touched upon this question, Judge has 100% control of his staff decisions.

Big Friday is upon us.
Will it give way to Blue Monday?
Only time will tell.
The judge bangs his gavel.
There's order in the court.
Mara Tech is pleased.

Ahhhh, ok. Seeing all the traffic on Graham, I assumed it was announced. I guess they’ll announce the whole staff at once then.
Don’t know if he has other strengths though.
I see what you did there ...
This is really what I don’t want to hear.....
Why did I even both to visit this site before 5pm today?
Big Friday my arse....

Our necks strain and crane
If Garrett it is not
Then what is our lot
Try, we must, to emerge from this rubble

i think Al Harris got Hypothermia from Plax undressing the punk in the NFC Championship game.
This interview is being forced by Mara and DG.
And they were counting on you to keep this to yourself?
That's what a strip show is all about, isn't it?
Come back Monday afternoon....you might see your sticky then.
